100% Peace of Mind

Pet care experience

First and foremost, you will have peace of mind. If you want more communication and openness than the bare minimum of what Rover requests, I’m happy to oblige. I treat dogs (and all animals) like a family member and I know I'm not alone in that respect. For frame of reference on experience and my passion- Just before moving out of my dads house, we had a German Sheppard, Callie, who lived a healthy 15 years! She succumbed to stage 5 hip dysplasia and a spinal disease in the early Spring of 2017. We did everything we possibly could before she just couldn’t walk. Before that, I bought her walk ladders to go down the deck and a full body collar so I could walk with her. I will never forget Callie and I will show you a video that will make your heart melt (the picture of me and her in my profile is a screenshot of it)! **Update - the video apparently went viral thanks to People's Magazine #HumbleBrag!** Before Callie and growing up, my family has owned Dachshunds, a Schipperke, a Husky, a Pomeranian (Xena! She was a legit warrior princess!), and another German Sheppard. That's along with approximately 1/2 dozen cats! I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor's in Business - Marketing (2014). A few happy years later, we're out in Volo now. I've been with dogs (and cats) my entire life, up until Callie had passed and my wife and I got our own place in 2017. We currently volunteer at a bird refuge and will soon be adopting a bird and rescuing a pup! Here's my 'philosophy' with pets. I believe that animals are often misunderstood. It can take extreme patience and awareness to really get to know a pet! Not that I’m a whisperer, but I love getting to know dogs.. and other animals for that matter. I’ve also challenged myself to get on the good side of my wife’s birds. 6 years later, my mission has... vastly improved! Birds play tremendous favorites. haha I have all of the patience in the world and I plan to treat your dog (or pet) exactly how YOU would! Plus, doesn't "Ryan from Rover" roll off the tongue??? A few other things about me and my services: -Currently, work 8-5 M-F out in Schaumburg with a 1 hour lunch break from 12pm to 1pm. I can do stop ins during this hour if you're closer to the Schaumburg area -Weekends are completely open availability, minus major travel plans -I can do morning check-ins on the way TO and FROM the office as well. If you need a check in around the early morning (between 7-9am) I would need to confirm with my work that I'd be allowed to do that prior to accepting a job. Leaving early (anytime after 3) hopefully wouldn't be an issue. -Other than that. If you'd like me to care for your pup (which you totally should!) just reach out! I'm responsive and will let you know quickly if I'm able to accommodate. -Essentially where I'm getting at is that I can do drop in visits up to 4 times per day (or more) depending on your location and needs. A perfect world would be to drop in on the way to work, on lunch, on the way home, and then after dinner/before bed.

We were thrilled with the care our dog received! We received regular communication from Ryan and felt so secure in our decision to leave our 15 year old dog in his care. Our pup came home looking and acting great - a true sign that he was well loved and unstressed while we were gone. Thank you Ryan! We will definitely reach out for your assistance again very soon!

Ryan cares about the pet he is sitting for. This is the second time he’s helped me and both times went above and beyond what’s expected. I will definitely hire him again next time.

Ryan was fantastic. He did everything I expected and even brought a box in I’d received off the porch and scraped the snow of so not to make a mess. I will definitely hire him again when the need arises.

Ryan has a knack for communicating with animals. His outgoing personality wins them over and attracts them to him every time! Every walk will be like giving them a treat!

Safety, trust & environment

They are always looked after and cared for. My goal is to make it their home away from home, or even their doggy vacation. I am constantly monitoring them for their safety and pay attention to body queues to ensure they’re comfortable.

Information Ryan P. would like to know about your pet

Any allergies or medication? What is a typical day in the life like for your pooch? Anything else that I should be mindful of would be helpful to ensure a relaxing stay!

A typical day

Your pooch leads and I simply followWherever you want and you feel safest that I take your pooch (or pooches)! While it'll likely be walks around the subdivision, there are dog parks near me if your pooch is accustom to going there! I'll play fetch, tug of war, a little wrestling if it's a larger dog who likes it! Again, my top priority is ensuring your pooch feels like they're at their "home away from home"!
