Pet care experience
I wanted to be a dog sitter mainly because I was looking to fill a void of my 13 year old standard poodle, Shadow, who passed away in 2017. His life has had an everlasting impression on mine and I want to use the experience and knowledge I've gained from raising him to make your dog as happy and comfortable as possible. Throughout his life, I trained him into one of the most obedient dogs and took care of him with doggy diapers during his final moments. Since then, I've had the opportunity to become a training assistant volunteer at the Wallis Annenberg Petspace, trained by the professional dog trainer Katie McGuire. From obedience reinforcement, to managing hostile situations, to playful tricks, I've worked with some of the most challenging dogs at the Petspace and have seen incredible results. I've taken care of many of my friends and neighbors dogs and my unconditional love for them does not go unnoticed. At a very young age, you would find me walking my neighbors dogs around the neighborhood when they didn't have time to do so. I love running or walking outside, throwing the toy/playing fetch in the yard, and taking dogs to the park. Inside, cuddling is a given and making them always feel welcome in my home! My goldendoodle, Albert is also the sweetest companion for your pet. He gets along with dogs all sizes and is playful and submissive so will never have an issue being territorial or aggressive (always happy to schedule a meet & greet if you would like to meet Albert & I prior). A daily routine with your dog would look something like this; I usually wake up around 8AM and will have your dog walked for no less than 30 minutes. Around noon, I will walk them again and play with him/her in the yard, at the beach (which is only blocks from me) or at the various parks in the neighborhood. I will walk your dog one more time during the day (unless stated that you want your dog walked more often) and then once more before bedtime. Feeding will be according to the owner's routine. I have a very flexible schedule and I am home almost 100% of the day since I have a fully remote job, so your dog will have company around the clock!
Reviews
Ryan was awesome as a sitter! It was Draco's first time sleeping outside his own home, and Ryan was proactive about sharing pictures and videos and taking good care of him. His dog Albert is also the best, and Draco loves playing with him.
Ryan was super responsive and provided updates throughout the day with pictures. Would recommend
We are grateful for Ryan’s help with our dog! He’s kind and communicative. I’d definitely book another session with Ryan again soon! Thank you!
Ryan has been so great with my pup and is so flexible and reliable!

I have a fenced patio so the pups can get some fresh air while in my home. I am also only a couple blocks from the beach for the best stimulation a dog can ask for. Alternatively, I'm also blocks from 2 dog parks, and several other green spaces perfect for that outdoor exposure while keeping safety in mind throughout.

Information Ryan L. would like to know about your pet
Is the dog aggressive? Is the dog house trained? Does the dog have a history of intense biting or destruction of household items? Does the dog require any medication?
A typical day
I like to walk dogs within the blocks around my home, at local parks, or at the beach. I love taking dogs to dog parks and bring toys for them to get good exercise since I am an active person as well.

I work from home full time so I can meet the needs of any situation. I also try not to leave my own dog at home alone for more than a couple hours a day so expect the same with your dog. Lots of exposure to the outdoors, including local beaches and parks and sometimes the occasional hang out at a coffee shop.
