Active, Engaging, Loving Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

For 5 years I was the pet sitter in my neighborhood during my high junior, and senior year of high school. I would also do this at college with for some of the families that I knew that were boosters or some of my professors at my school. I have had two dogs when I was younger one when I was younger and one who is still at home with my parents. The most recent one was me and my sisters responsibility so I have the experience of taking care of a pet and the many problems that come with one.I am a retired college athlete and I love to be active so your pet will never be bored or not have enough fun when they are with me. I am that person that asks to pet any dog that I see walking on the streets because I love animals so much. I take walks already so having someone to keep me company would be great. I am also new to the area so with that being said I do not have much to do so I will be at home often and be able to be with your dog for the day. I am a graduate student at Monmouth and my house is only a 2 minute drive from campus so if I ever have to go run an errand while I am with your dog I can either take him for nice windy car ride or only be gone for a small amount of time so that your dog is not alone and is in good company. I have a good selection of toys and you are welcome to bring your own because a toy for an animal is like a cell phone for a person we must need it to survive.

Ryan was our dog sitter for 3 years when he was in college. He sat our dog who was a male german shepherd during the weekends. He would often come over and take our dog out for walks, to the park, beach, or any spot that was dog friendly. Ryan was always active with our dog and they would always be running around with him. He would also be able to take our dog out if we were ever away from our house and they needed to be taken out. He would always make sure that the dogs were fed and had water whenever he took them out. We never had a bad experience with Ryan when it came to working with our dogs. He was very cooperative and always gave us a heads up if something happened or he had any questions, which happened maybe once or twice. He is great with animals and always shows them so much love. The only problem that we had with Ryan was that sometimes he would give them a little bit extra food or an extra treat because the dogs were being good. Outside of dog-sitting our dog he is an amazing person who has accomplished a lot in life and is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He has a caring heart and will always go out of his way to make things better for others. He also has a great sense of humor and always works with us whenever we need something. I would and have recommended Ryan to many of my friends and will continue to do so. He is an excellent choice to have as a dog sitter.

Information Ryan L. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if you're dog is potty trained, if they shed a lot, what times they like to go to the bathroom or if they have a routine that they do, things that the dog likes and dislikes, if they are scared of a certain gender of people, cage friendly, and any other information about you're dog that you would deem helpful or something that would be helpful to your dogs stay. Anything that you do to help your dog for example if you're dog is scared of storms and you hold him or wrap him in a blanket to make him feel safer. Any information that would my experience with your dog better.

A typical day

I will go on walks around my neighborhood, on the boardwalk, there is a park that is .5 miles from my house and there is a dog specific park that is a 1.5 miles from my house that I would be happy to take your dog to. I will take your dog to a Starbucks so that they can have a Puppuccino, which is dog friendly. I will and love to play fetch with your dog and I used to play baseball so hopefully your dog likes to run far. If your dog is not an active dog, watching a movie with your dog while giving good belly rubs, back scratches, or brushing your dog is definitely an activity we can do. Your dog will also enjoy a dog treat if the owner allows it.
