When I was 6 years old, my dad gave me a puppy, a beagle to be exact, to teach me about responsibility, and compassion. That Beagle instantly became my best friend. I took her everywhere, when I got my first car, we’d go on trips to the beach and on hiking trails, to rivers and streams, the ocean, even on an airplane. A year ago, she had a severe stroke and unfortunately, I had to put her down after 16 years of love and great memories. My little beagle left a lasting impression on me, and a drive to spend more time around animals, weather that be by volunteering, or by house sitting for friends and family. I want to dog walk so I can interact with many types of amazing dogs out there, to take them on great walks, to cool streams and beaches, and to share the love I had for my sweet girl with all of the other deserving animals out there. Along with the beagle, I’ve had a chihuahua, a golden retriever, and lived with friends for a few years that owned a Great Dane and pit bull, and currently, I have two cats and am planning to get a lab mix over the summer. I always tell people that aviation and being a pilot are my passion, but taking care of and being around animals, especially dogs, is a very, very close second.
