Pet care experience

My friends have been known to call me “the dog whisperer”. Growing up my family had basenjis. Later in life I had my own Swiss Mountain Dog. I have also helped friends, family and roommates care for Australian shepherds, German shepherds, pits, mutts, and everything in between. I am extremely passionate about dogs of all sizes and shapes and would be a reliable and trustworthy care giver. Your pet will not want for butt scratches, belly scratches, playtime or attention of any kind!

Ryan was amazing with my older dog! Communicative, caring, and responsible. Doggo has been have some recent health issues and Ryan was great, he was attentive and took such good care of Dunks!

Ryan was great with our dog! I can tell he was very patient with all of his energy and went above and beyond taking him on several walks on a very rain day. Our dog got lots of attention and play time and we couldn’t be happier with his stay! Ryan is very kind, communicative, and trustworthy - a great fit for us!

Ryan is extremely reliable and is amazing with caring for dogs. Dogs have been a big part of Ryans' entire life and every dog loves him as much as he gives love right back. Ryan treats every dog as if they were his own. Ryan always went out of his way to care for my dog when I was working and their bond became second to none. He always treated my dog like his best friend and I think my own dog might love him more than me...Ryan always wants to have dogs in his life and this job is a perfect fit for him. Ryan is professional and considerate to every person and K9, and any dog would be lucky to spend time with him.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a very roomy 2 bedroom in a very family friendly neighborhood in East Boston. There is a dog park a block away from my front door and a great walking trail down to the waterfront.

Information Ryan C. would like to know about your pet

I am able to accommodate any special preferences your dog may require, so please don’t hesitate to tell me. Be aware that I do live on the 2nd and 3rd floors of my home, so some senior dogs may have trouble with the stairs. But any health/allergy concerns are not a problem. I have worked as an EMT for 10 years now and I am very comfortable giving medications, shots, etc.

A typical day

Physical and mental exercise are very important to me. We’ll take long walks around the neighborhood, have long play times at the nearby park and socialize with other dogs (if they’re into that)!

I work as a firefighter, working 24 hour shifts 2 days a week. So my schedule leaves me with a ton of free time on my off days. My schedule does change every week but I’m very flexible and have a ton of availability. Very willing and able to work with both of our schedules to find a good fit!
