Pet care experience
I've owned and trained dogs for almost three decades. I've got two dogs of my own (Julius and Penelope) and would love to work with yours. From Boxers to Yorkie's, Cane Corsos to Malty-poos, I've seen it all. I have experience with huge, willful dogs as well as the little guys. I'm also happy to work with your dogs on general walking obedience, and any other tasks you'd like help with. Can't wait to meet your pooches!

Abu had a good overnight with Ryan! I love that he was able to enjoy the trails at the beautiful adjacent Druid Hill Park. He sent pictures of Abu getting both snuggles and exercise, and was great about being willing to work with Abu's inclination to chase cats, which will serve us well in our future cat-friendly training. I'm glad to have him as someone I can trust locally to care for my best buddy when I'm away.
Ryan was awesome! He was really easy to communicate with and made sure he knew what the "rules" of my house were (mostly please don't harass the kitty or eat her food) and Iggy's routines around when he eats and goes out and sleeps etc. Ryan taught him to fetch a frisbee and somehow trained him to actually give it back after he retrieves it. I came home to a happy, tired out, puppy who had so much fun with his new friend that he wasn't all that excited to see me at first. This is a good thing, it means Ignatius had a great time and didn't miss me. :-) As a bonus, I hadn't had time to mow my lawn before I went out of town and Ryan offered to do it since he was going to be staying at my house anyway. He also picked up all the toys that Iggy pulls out of his toy box every day and vacuumed. So I came home to a tired out puppy with a new trick, cut grass, and a house that was cleaner than when I left. 100% will rebook with Ryan.
My nervous, timid dog loves his stays with Ryan. In fact, I have to be careful saying the "R" word in my house because little Marbles gets too excited. Ryan has watched Marbles several times already -- once for a long weekend -- and I can't recommend him enough. He always texts right away, sends pictures of my dog, and is flexible with drop-off/pick-up timing. I will definitely use his services again in the future.
Ryan is clearly a dog lover. His own pets are well-cared for and well-loved, and this is obvious as soon as you meet them. Ryan takes excellent care of my two dogs. He has walked them, taken them on play dates and fun adventures, provided day care, and watched my puppy after his neuter surgery. Ryan treats my dogs as though they are members of his own family, including managing my older girl's complex oral medication and food allergies. Ryan has also provided informal training, such as door and leash etiquette, curb sits, and other basic commands while he is walking my dogs. This has been done in a professional and humane manner, with lots of praise and rewards, consistent with official "schools" my older dogs had attended. Ryan took care to learn the particular commands and hand signals that I use so that the dogs would receive consistent instruction and praise. I am 100% comfortable with Ryan spending time with my dogs, in my home and out in public, and highly recommend him. I will continue to use Ryan for pet care whenever necessary.
