I've grown up with dogs my whole life and have also trained and raised a few dogs for Canine Companion for Independence. Friends and family have always asked me to care for their animals when they leave for longs trips and I have been asked on numerous occasions to bring my dog over to help socialize their pup or even their cat. Dogs are some of the best pets you can have and I love being around them. A few of the dogs I have cared for over the years have been very old and have needed extra care in regards to feeding, pills and special care. I've also experienced and have helped train young wild pups who are out of control and have yet to be potty-trained. I like to live by the rule that the relationship between the dog and human is a two way street. Yes the human should show that they are in command but the dog also has it's freedom to be a dog and that the commands create a level of communication to help govern that relationship. All in all I love dogs and they are phenomenal creatures :)
