Hello everyone, I’m Ruth an animal illustrator and dog lover who lives in South London :) Since a very young age I've had dogs around me. They’re an extremely important part of my life and bring me so much joy. After moving to London I sorely missed having them around so decided to volunteer at Battersea Dogs & Cats home. This was an amazing experience and provided me with more training through workshops and on the job practice.

Ruth watched our mini poodle Freddie for 2 days and she was an amazing sitter. She kept us constantly updated with photos which made us feel at ease. I wouldn't hesitate to book again!
Ruth was the perfect sitter from start to finish! When she met us to pick up Willow I could tell she really cared from the beginning and made sure she understood all of Willow’s needs. Ruth kept us updated throughout Willow’s stay and sent us photos and videos which put us right at ease. We can tell Willow had a great time too and she slept through the night with Ruth which was a great a sign she was in good hands. Ruth was super kind and trustworthy and I’d easily and happily have her take care of my cockapoo Willow anytime. Thank you so much Ruth for making this so easy!
Ruth made our toy poodle feel at home immediately! Loved how she had her flat set up and ready for dogs already, complete with dog bowls already set out, treats at the ready and a basket of dog toys that our poodle dove straight into. Super communicative and loved getting pictures and updates throughout. Would definitely recommend :)
Highly recommend! Thank you so much! Ruth had our little Klaus over for the weekend. We were initially worried as Klaus struggles with separation anxiety and is very attached to us. We initially ask Ruth to meet up to say hello and introduced ourselves. We then dropped Klaus off who was howling and crying, Ruth expertly distracted him and calmed him down and he was very happy after that. She sent us frequent photos and videos of Klaus throughout the stay. Thank you again and would definitely be rebooking!

Living in a spacious flat, there is plenty of room for your dog to play or rest in. I only take one dog at a time so I can give them my undivided attention ( will take more if from the same house). The entry system is secure and the surrounding area is fenced in, providing a safe environment.

A typical day
When your dog first arrives I’ll let them have a look around the rooms and space. We will then go for a walk to connect and allow it to smell, explore and play in the area. I’ll then settle your dog in and usually that involves us relaxing, playing and belly rubs. I’ll aim to get into a routine with them and then we’ll just enjoy each other’s company - followed by a repeat of what’s mentioned above, more belly rubs, walks and play until home time when they’re human comes to collect.

I'm a part time illustrator and work from home a lot of the time. I'm flexible to take the dogs out when needed and love having them for company to sit by my feet or lay on my lap depending on their size haha! (Many bigger dogs still try and squeeze on my lap)
