PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! Retired middle-age couple will dog-sit in our home. (At least one of us is usually home during the day.) We take exceptional care of your dog(s) and give them lots of attention so they feel comfortable here. Our sweet toy poodle, Flossy, passed away on 10/4/18. We will always hold her in our hearts. We have been dog sitting through Rover for about 8 years and would love your dog as we loved Flossy. Experienced with most small breeds. Prefer dogs under 15 pounds. We live in a pleasant, safe residential neighborhood near Briargate. Low-key household with no children. Large fenced-in back yard where dogs can run and play. Central A/C. Will walk your dog regularly. Dogs will sleep in a crate/kennel at night indoors or in gated laundry room. Not accepting recently rescued dogs. Well-adjusted rescues are okay. Dogs must be potty-trained, reasonably well-behaved, and able to navigate stairs (including outdoor deck stairs). Aggressive dogs are not accepted.

Ruth & her husband are such sweet people. I was happy that they were such kind caring pet sitters. Our two dogs were comfortable staying with them so I could relax & enjoy our vacation. I will use them in the future also?
Ruth let us know upon pickup that the dogs were anxious often during the stay. They were all well and happy to be home after pick up though.

Our daughter pickup our dog after a two week stay, noticed blood and mucus coming from her rear. Ruth complained she pooped in her bed and in the house, After an urgent care visit with the vet and a $660 vet bill, our pet was diagnosed with acute colitis. X-ray analysis revealed no food in stomach or intestine. We had provided vet numbers including emergency vet service; why would one let a dog go with severe diarrhea and not realize the dog has something wrong. This has never happened with any other Rover dog sitters, I have trusted Rover before but will really think twice before trusting their sitters again.

A typical day
I sometimes walk the dogs at Cottonwood Park or along the creek near our home. In summers, I do this early (7:00 am) to avoid the heat.

My daily schedule is very flexible. I walk dogs as weather permits and play with them when they desire. Feeding schedule as owner requests. Dogs may be fed separately, if necesssary.
