Licensed vet tech at your service!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Ruth, I have been dog sitting on and off for about eight years now. I've worked at animal care businesses from doggy daycares and boarding facilities to mobile vaccine clinics and the top veterinary hospitals in DFW. Being a licensed vet tech means I have a degree in veterinary technology and have passed a national and state exam. Your pet will not only be with someone who loves animals but also with someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about animal health. I also grew up with small dogs and cats but currently have a big loveable pit mix so I'm comfortable with all breeds. If you have pocket pets or any other animal species please reach out and I can figure out a way to accommodate them too.
Reviews
Ruth was amazing! My doggies are not always the easiest, sometimes they’re just silly girls, but they ADORED her so much. She kept me updated the whole weekend we were away with photographs and constantly texting me! She handled situations coolly and calmly if they came up and I would want no one else watching my girls again in just a few days time for another trip I am taking!
She was so sweet and super friendly! my Dog loves her :)!!
Ruth show up on time but she only took my dog for one walking. I request two walking. she said my dog looks tired and she will come back again today. its 8:44 PM now and she did not show up and no text me back. I did cancel my Tuesday appointment with her because she did not keep the time period. I can not trust person who don't like to keep the time frame. I paid one hour service and she served half hour.
Ruth was super sweet and great with Jax and Duke! Going to be using her walking services regularly.

I do believe house sitting or drop ins are the best choice for your pet when you need to be out of town. I've seen how different a dog or cat can act when they are knocked out of their normal routine and have to be surrounded by other pets and an unfamiliar place. By booking with me I can stick with your pet's normal routine so they continue living their stress free life in their safe space-your home!
Information Ruth J. would like to know about your pet
During booking or the meet & greet I would like to know the following: *Pet Behaviors- is your pet a social butterfly that thrives on attention or just feels safe knowing someone's in the house with them *Medications- daily meds, where to go if refills are needed, will you be gone when their heartworm/flea prevention is due *Primary Vet- do you already have an established vet or ER clinic you prefer in case of emergency *Feeding Routine
A typical day
During a typical day with your pet I would try to keep it as close to their normal routine as possible as I already know not seeing you could be stressing them out already. If your pet is high energy I would provide lots of playtime and mental stimulation. If your pet likes to keep to themselves I will (try not to be hurt) give them plenty of space to do as they please.

Availability
I'm currently going to school part time so I have plenty of time for housesitting or drop ins. Before booking I will let you know of my schedule to see if your pets needs and my class schedule will coincide. If I have a class heavy day I definitely make up for time afterwards with lots playtime and snuggles.
