I moved to Charlottesville, VA in 1995 to earn my Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of Virginia. Between classes, I took my 120 pound Bouvier, Bear to walk the river trail at Riverview Park. I have volunteered countless hours with the Charlottesville SPCA, and found an unparalleled joy in working with animals. I have a special knack for connecting with all pets - dogs, cats, and birds alike, I am happiest when in the presence of animals. I offer dog care in my home, where they will receive plenty of play time and dog park visits. It is my philosophy that a dog that is well exercised is well behaved. Your dog will always come home happy and tired. My hours are somewhat flexible as many of my clients are hospital employees, but there is an extra $5 charge for drop off before 6:30 and pick up after 6:30. As an experienced, reliable lover of all dogs of all shapes and sizes, your dog will be in excellent hands while you are away! Plenty of opportunity for socializing and exercise! During Covid if you come 3 times a week I will give you a 10% discount! If you have a dog who has special needs (sick, elderly, disabled, etc.) I will charge an extra 5 dollars a day for the experience I have. Testimonials "Ruth Ellen is amazing.
