After years of working in boarding facilities, we have learned a lot about caring for dogs in a compassionate, professional way. After working at a boarding facility that didn't provide the quality of care we felt we could provide, we learned about Rover. Finally, a chance to combine our experience with providing high quality personalized care! The clients and pets we have met while sitting through Rover and the overall experience has been phenomenal so far! We have high standards of care for when dogs stay with us. We specialize in making sure they get let out and played with frequently, taken for walks, and receive mental and physical enrichment daily. For our clients, we offer flexible drop off and pick up times, frequent updates by way of picture and text messages, and peace of mind (since your best friends are staying with sitters who are well versed in medical care and canine behavior). Ruth is a CPDT-KA certified pet trainer! We also can offer light grooming, like baths and nail trims. We have both worked with pets professionally, in the veterinary field (Ruth), and in the dog daycare and boarding setting (James and Ruth). While in the daycare, we worked with a lot of young boisterous dogs and volunteered with local rescue groups. We have worked with a lot of bully breed mixes. In the veterinary setting, Ruth has worked with dogs and cats who had special medical needs, like diabetics and seniors. We’re happy to accommodate almost any pup! Our expertise allows us to meet any situation with love and professionalism. Our flexible schedule allows someone to be home most of the time during the day. We like to allow dogs to run and play in our fenced yard and go for hikes on one of our local trails. Dogs staying with us are let out to potty every 2 hours or so, and are never left outside unattended. We’re good matches for dogs that like to have a human presence around them during the day. We live in Greece, NY and we love it! Our home is all one floor (great for pups and seniors), with laminate flooring so clean up is never a concern for dogs who may be prone to accidents. We keep the place as dog-proofed as possible at all times so that dogs can enjoy the place. We also have a variety of toys, bowls, and beds on hand, so dogs can nap wherever they would like. If pet parents forget something, it’s not a big deal as we have extras on hand! We have a large fenced yard and are nearby a park and various spots for hiking, and our neighborhood is really dog friendly!
