Run, Walk, Bark, Yard, Couch!

Pet care experience

Hi there! I'm Ruth, I've been an animal lover all my life and I work with a variety of species, including dogs, horses, and cows. I have had a dog for the last seven years and currently have 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback. I've done extensive clicker and positive-reinforcement training with her. I'm also an educator (fine arts) so I have lots of patience. I recently completed my MFA in art and during my studies have completed animal cognition courses so I am very good at reading body language in animals (particularly dogs!). I'm very good at timing training sessions (when they happen, frequency, when the dog is ready to be finished) and always reward for good behavior. This reward can be a walk, treat, playtime, etc.

Ruth was a wonderful sitter. It was his first overnight and she took excellent care of my dog. Bubba enjoyed playing with her very well trained dog. I will use her again and would recommend her for your dog.

I love, love, love being outside. Lots of walks. If the dog can run, I'll take them on a run. Walking on dirt/grass is always preferable to pounding pavement, but it's up to the owner.
