✧☆Customized care for your pets!☆✧

Pet care experience

About Me: Hello, my name is Rudy and I am a 30-year-old working professional who graduated from Temple University. I reside in Haverford, Pennsylvania. I currently work at a travel insurance company in King of Prussia (working from home until October 2020 in light of COVID-19). I am a Rover sitter on the side. I have completed an online course for Dog First Aid & CPR. The certificate of completion can be viewed in my photos section. You can also view many of my doggie clients in the photos section. I update this frequently and have made quite a few canine friends in my adventures as a part time pet sitter. I am an experienced Rover sitter and I have multiple repeat clients (most of which have multiple dogs). I have experience caring for puppies and elderly dogs, and with caring for multiple dogs at once. I have cared for dogs who have certain issues such as anxiety, mouthiness, and marking in the house. I have experience caring for dogs with medical conditions as well. Dogs and other animals have been in my family for my entire life. I recently lost 12-year-old Portuguese Water Dog named Tucker (my best friend). Unfortunately, Tucker was diagnosed with mitral valve disorder and heart disease/congestive heart failure. That being said, I am also very experienced with caring for a dog with heart disease now. I developed a spreadsheet to keep track of his medication. I administered his medication and recorded his resting respiratory rate daily. I frequently checked his vital signs. If your pet also has a medical condition, I would be comfortable caring for him/her as long as the regimen is explained in detail and documented for me to follow. On a lighter note, my family recently adopted two adorable Aussiedoodles who are now two years old. I am their primary caregiver. We also have two rescued Barn Cats named SunnyD and Nellie. Our 17-year-old Portuguese Water Dog Oreo passed away a few summers ago from old age and we miss her very much. I have raised three other dogs from puppies and also helped my angels Oreo and Tucker in their old age, so I am experienced with dogs of all ages. I also had a cat who lived to be 19! I love all types of animals and look forward to meeting and spending quality time with your beloved pet. I can't wait to be best friends with your best friend! First time Rover users: ask me about my $20 off your first visit promo code! Services: Each stay will be carefully customized to fit your pet’s every need. I will take detailed notes on my intake worksheet of your pet's unique care instructions during our meet and greet and send them to you for your review prior to the stay. I have developed a Meet & Greet information form that I will complete at our meeting before care begins. I will review the care instructions prior to the visit, and make certain that I follow your preferred care regimen. I am happy to pet-sit, play, and go on walks with your dog in my spare time. I love all kinds of dogs and would love to spend time with your furry friend when you are unavailable to do so. I am happy to send you photo and video updates of your furry friend while providing care. I am available to bring pets to vet appointments if you are unable. I can also take care of any additional house sitting duties you may require. I frequently collect mail, packages, and newspapers for my client. I also can water the plants. I am very open to caring for other types of animals if needed. I have experience caring for cats, rabbits, birds, fish, turtles, and even a bearded dragon! *Please note that my extended care rate for multiple dogs would be adjusted at my discretion, I do not charge the extended care rate per dog.* Availability: Please message me to further discuss availability! My availability is flexible and I can always work with you to make special arrangements for your pet care needs. I do have a full-time 9-5 job, currently remote, but normally based in King of Prussia, but have availability on weeknights and some weekends. I would be able to work remotely (online) from your home while house-sitting with your dog on my telecommute days and provide walks and play time during my lunch break 12pm-1pm on those days. I am very flexible and hope to come up with something that works best for both of our schedules. Please feel free to contact me to discuss availability in further detail! Cell: 6 1 0 4 2 0 7 4 8 3

Rudy did a great job watching our dog. She provided updates, took great care of our home, and we came back to a relaxed puppy. We were very comfortable with Rudy in our home, watching our dog & would recommend her as a dog/house-sitter to anyone who is looking. Rudy - Thank you for doing such an excellent job & we hope to use you again in the future for our dog-sitting needs!

Rudy was perfect! She took copious notes about Daisy and sent me texts and photos several times. I will not be looking for new people to care for Daisy anymore.

I can't say that I was ever more confident in a dog sitter as I was with Rudy. She was very thorough in asking me about those little details we forget to say when we hire a dog sitter. I would hire Rudy again in a second! Most important...ChaCha loved her! Thanks Rudy!

Rudy was amazing with our dog Brody. It was his first night home alone since we lost our other dog and he is skittish to begin with and has bad separation anxiety. Rudy was so great with him and when we got home he seemed so calm and well taken care of. Can’t thank her enough and am glad we’ve found someone we can use in the future. Highly recommend.

Special Instructions? I love all breeds of dogs and have had lots of experience sitting for breeds such as Portuguese Water Dogs, Labradoodles, Huskies, and Shepherds to Yorkies and Chihuahuas. My largest clients are a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and a Bull Mastiff and my smallest client is a Morkie and a 3 month old Viszla puppy. At least five of my current repeat clients are puppies. Much like humans, each animal has their own unique personality. It is important for me to learn about your pet’s general personality, like and dislikes, social behaviors, habits, and typical ways of communicating needs. I would like to know the any boundaries and rules that are typically in place so that I can provide consistent and similar care to what the dog is used to. Any special instructions that pertain to your pet would be great! I know that every dog and cat is different. I want to provide the best care possible to your beloved pet, so please be as detailed as possible! Are there any areas the dog doesn't like to be touched, or things that upset your dog? How old is your dog? Are there any medical conditions or allergies that I should be aware of? I have experience with administering oral medication. Is there a medication schedule for me to follow? Does your dog have any favorite toys? How are they when it comes to interaction with other humans and dogs? How often should your dog be fed? What are the quantities and timing? How often does your dog typically use the bathroom? What type of treats do you allow? What is your dog's typical schedule like? Does your dog have separation anxiety or any other problem behaviors? Is your dog house-trained? Do you allow your dog on furniture? Does your dog have any destructive tendencies (i.e. chewing on shoes, tearing up furniture or rugs, digging holes in the yard)? What is your preferred 24 hour emergency vet in case of emergencies? It is important to keep in mind that not all vets are 24 hour emergency centers.

Where will we go? What will we do?: I love to take walks in scenic places. I personally take my dog for a walk at the Haverford Reserve and visit the dog park. We used to jog on the trails while exercising before his diagnosis. We used to go on the trails or to parks for fun! I can take your dog wherever you you prefer. I can play fetch or with other toys with your dog in your yard. I prefer to walk dogs in safe areas that have a designated sidewalk! I have experience with walking two dogs at once. I have walked a bull mastiff before, so I am comfortable with large breed dogs as well. I also have experience with electric fences.
