Pet care experience
Over the past 5 years, my mom and I have temporarily taken in seven cats off of the street and have found them homes. We cannot house cats ourselves due to my dad’s allergic asthma, but we will not let obstacles stand against finding loving and nurturing homes for these abandoned cats. The best thing we did was we found a pregnant cat in the middle of winter and managed to find her someone to help her give birth as soon as possible. In my photos, you will see a grey sleeping cat with kittens around her. That is the cat! I also have taken care of my neighbor’s two Irish wolfhounds and two cats when she is away from home as well as taken care of my friend’s cat when she goes on vacation for a week. For 12 years, we have also had a wonderful Maltese of our own! Luckily we can have him since he is hypoallergenic. In my opinion, there is nothing better than giving love to your lovely furry friends.

Safety, trust & environment
To care for an animal means not only to feed then and let them go bathroom, but get in their essential playtime and make sure you are stimulating their brain with activity. I usually feed animals at the same time to create consistency. If there are multiple animals, I feed them in the same room because this creates a bond; I also monitor them just to make sure one pet doesn’t steal the other pet’s food.
Information Ruby B. would like to know about your pet
I need to know if the dog has any medications, prefers any specific methods, if the dog has a sensitive spot you shouldn’t pet, and preferred time of feeding.
A typical day
My favorite place to take my dog is by the river! I go to this pretty place called Pennypack by the Delaware. I always make sure to bring a bottle of water and water bowl for the dog. Inside the house, I like to play fetch. If the owner has a fenced-in backyard I will gladly play fetch with the dog there!

Availability
Currently I work at wawa on thursdays. I am typically available any other day, however sometimes I do pick up shifts. Even if I am working on a day you want me to check on your animal, I am always willing to wake up earlier or check on an animal later at night. I’m willing to be flexible.
