Pet care experience
My life revolves around dogs. I have continuously had dogs since I was 15. All have been rescues, as I feel they ALL deserve love and homes. I started rescuing (not just to adopt for myself), but help them get out of shelters about 11 years ago, once I realized just how many don't make it out. I have helped every kind of breed, but my main focus became the "bully" breeds. I started out rescuing herding breeds, but once I got to know pitbulls, staffies and the related breeds I fell in love with these gentle yet misunderstood dogs. I've fostered many, found adoptive homes, rehabilitated and helped shelters and rescues care for them, walk them, show them at adoptions, and evaluated their personalities. After becoming frustrated with my corporate career, I followed my passion, and 5 years ago decided to work with dogs full time and become a pet sitter/dog walker. I absolutely love what I do!!!

Roxy is an excellent dog walker! My dog has a unique temperament, especially around other dogs and Roxy is a pro at handling that. In fact, my dog socializes much better with other dogs since walking with Roxy. She truly cares for all of her dogs and I know that my dog is in capable, knowledgeable, caring hands when she is with Roxy. Both my dog and I are so lucky to have found her!!
I've known Roxy for over 2 yrs, she has overseen my dogs for walks, potty breaks and has done over night sitting with three of my beagles, and when one of my beagles passed away she was there with me to say goodbye. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone one else in my house, she's amazing and my youngest beagle follows her everywhere. You couldn't ask for a better person to look after your dogs.

I try to always meet the dog and his/her people prior to sitting. I want as much information about energy level, likes and dislikes, level of socialization, health, feeding, habits as possible. I love all dogs of shapes and sizes. Don't think I've ever met one I haven't liked. However, I am known for my ability to wear out even some of the most energetic dogs, and to handle some of the more difficult ones.
A typical day
Whatever the dog enjoys and the dog parent desires. It truly depends on what is needed, the dog's personality and age. Anything from hikes, going to the beach (my favorite dog activity), intense walks, playing ball, to a slow stroll for sniffing pleasures, or lounging on the couch giving tons of love and affection.
