Pet care experience
((I am extremely LGBTQ friendly)) I've been dog sitting and dog walking for 13 years (since I was 13 years old), and have experience with all kinds of dogs. Big dogs, small dogs, stubborn dogs, complacent dogs, energetic dogs, lazy dogs, old dogs, young dogs, special needs dogs, healthy dogs, single dogs, packs of dogs... I've done it all! I can even administer oral and injected medications! If your dog has an absolute favorite toy, I'll make sure to give it prime playing time during home visits. If your dog needs some motivation to get all the exercise it needs, I'll find a fun way to keep them moving! Please note: I do have my own dog! House sitting where I can bring her with me is preferred, but I can make arrangements to be able to stay without her as needed.

Our pups had another great stay with Rowan and her dog. she even managed to give my older dog her dreaded eyedrops. Rowan sent regular updates and photos and the dogs report that they had a great time.
Our pups had a great stay with Rowan and we've already booked her for an upcoming trip. She kept us informed about how things and sent photos were going which helped put us at ease. We have an older dog who needs lots of meds and tlc and Rowan handled it all like a pro. Her dog is also wonderful and my pups enjoyed the company. Rowan also did a meet and greet which we really appreciated.
Rowan was caring and attentive. Our cats reported that they had a great time with her.
Rowan was available at the very last minute and saved my vacation. She sent me regular updates and photos to let me know my pup was having so much fun!

I like to know how they react to other dogs, how they react to other people, how they handle car rides (if I am going to be doing an overnight stay and you want them taken to dog parks), how often they are used to being let out to use the bathroom, what commands they know (and their command words), and where all the supplies are kept! I have no breed preferences.
A typical day
During overnight stays, I love to take dogs to a dog park or to walk along the trails. Long walks on the beach are also a fun activity for warmer days. Then once we are both worn out, nothing beats relaxing with a movie!

Availability
I currently have a full-time day job, so any walks or park trips will be done in the evenings. I work a standard 8-5, so I won’t be around to let them out during that time.
