Heaven in Hell's Kitchen :)

Pet care experience

I love dogs and I love making new furry friends! I grew up with my Cocker Spaniel, Doris, who was my best childhood friend so I learned to care for dogs at a young age. Since I moved from Hong Kong eight years ago I have missed having furry friends in my life, so I took every opportunity I could to dog walk/sit and volunteer at the local animal shelter -- an experience has allowed me to become great at working with all types of dogs: large, small, senior, young, active, aggressive, stubborn, or sick. While I travel too much to commit to having a dog of my own just yet, Rover has allowed me the irresistible opportunity to hang out with and host your pup! My boyfriend (who lives with me) will also help care for the pups who stay with us. He grew up with dogs as well, and is so excited to have a new running buddy. We live in Hell's Kitchen and there is a dog run across from my building and another one at the pier a block away. The park at the pier is tree-lined and has expansive fields for pups who want a little escape from the urban claustrophobia of the city. Being in this dog-friendly neighborhood, your pup will have many areas to sniff, and many chances to meet new friends -- it’s a puppy party! We are also very active and love to run and hike during the weekends. So if your pup is up for it, we could go jogging on the West Side path, or go hiking at Bear Mountain! I'm also a photography hobbyist -- I love taking photos of pups and I will happily send the shots to the pup's owners to let them know how their dog is doing. I am excited for the opportunity to share my love with your pup and welcome him/her to our home. I know how it feels to be apart from our furry family members, so I will stay attuned to your dog’s needs and send photos and videos updates so you get the peace and comfort knowing that your pup is in good hands.

Ross was great with my dog Jerry! She take care of him for 4 days, and keep me update all the time, and Jerry looks happy and playfully in every picture!! I just pick him up and I can see that he misses Ross already!

Ross was so helpful and took amazing care of my new puppy Australian Shepherd. He is only 12 weeks old and needs a lot of attention and care. She constantly updated me with pictures of my puppy while I was in class and it felt great to know that my puppy was in good hands. She even provided me with some treats for my new puppy. Very sweet and responsible! Will definitely be hiring Rods again to take care of my puppy.

Ross is professional, caring and dependable. Her updates are frequent and funny and my older Westie clearly had a great stay. He was ready to go back with Ross come pick up time. We are ready to book our next vacation with Ross.

Information Ross C. would like to know about your pet

Over the years I have worked with a wide variety of dog breeds as well as senior dogs and pups that have health or behavioral issues. It’s great for me to know all details about a pup’s personality and anything else the owner can tell me so that I can be sure to provide the best possible care. I also keep my clients updated with lots of photos throughout their pup’s stay.

A typical day

As luck would have it, there is a dog run right across the street from my apartment building and another tree-lined park a block away at the pier that offers plenty of space to roam and sniff! It’s a very dog-friendly area, so heading out for a walk is pretty routine in my neighborhood and allows for lots of social doggy time as well! I’m also incredibly active, so you might find us strolling along the West Side path or heading out for a hike a Bear Mountain! On top of our outdoor routines, your pup will also get plenty of indoor attention and belly rubs.
