First off, let me say that I love dogs - I am a volunteer at Animal Rescue RI, and just organized a large fund raiser to benefit the shelter. Animals are sentient beings who deserve attention, love and respect for what is natural for them. They need to feel safe and cared for, and need to see it in our eyes. You, the pet owner, need to feel safe and secure knowing your pup is in good hands. I have lots of experience in caring for both dogs (and cats, even fish and birds). I love to spend time with them and enjoy their company. Animals are a huge part of my life, and I am an animal activist, supporting organizations that do good works for these animals. I have cared for puppies right on up to old doggies who need a bit more help getting around. I research EVERY BREED if you have a breed dog, before I take on the job, and I interview the owner somewhat extensively to find out what the owner wants, and more importantly what the dog wants and needs to feel safe and happy. If he or she is a mixed breed dog, then I interview the owner on what is needed for the dog's personality, temperament, food habits, sleep habits, and people habits so the pet can feel relaxed and good (same with the breeds). I am always able to be contacted and respond quickly. I send photos to the owner so they feel at ease with me with their pet and in their home. I also take care of birds, many cats, fish, amd just about any 4 legged creature. I really am good at what I do. I have excellent references reflecting this point.
