Pet care experience
After caring for pets all through my youth, I joined Rover for a few years after college and loved getting to know so many different pets. Once I bought a home and adopted a few furr-babies of my own I deactivated my profile for a while, but I've recently returned. I'll be in Downtown Cleveland for the Fall/Winter and am available for check-ins and walkies. If you need cat/rodent/fish check-ins during winter travel or want someone to take over snowy walks, send me a message! More about me as a sitter: I do my best to make the pets that I'm caring for feel comfortable and happy, since I know suddenly being with a new person can be unsettling for them. I've been told I have a "calming presence," which I think connects well with pets. Additionally, I'm an avid runner and love running with dogs--whether they do best with all-out sprints or just a steady jog, I can adapt to any pace/length. I also have experience training both puppies and kittens, so I'm happy to work with pets in any stage of training.

Rose was awesome with my dog, Tots. She spent an hour with me on a meet & greet before I left on my business trip, taking diligent notes, and building trust with me and Tots. While I was away, she knew how important it was for me to stay in the loop with how he was doing, so she sent me pics from walks and when they were chilling each day with status updates that put me at ease because he was well cared for. I could not have asked for a better experience or a more responsible and kind person watching over my little guy.

Every pet will need different accommodations, and I will work with the Owners before each stay to ensure that their pet stays safe and healthy and as close to their normal routines as possible. For all stays, I maintain a tidy space where any potential no-nos (food, chewable items, etc.) are kept out of reach, and I always pay attention to a pet's body language to ensure that we don't do anything outside of their comfort range.

First, I need to know the basics: food type and schedule, any health concerns, potty schedule, sleeping preferences, walk/activity preferences. Additionally, I want to know anything that will help me make your pets comfy and happy--favorite toys, treats, etc.
A typical day
First, as a baseline, I will make sure that every dog goes out several times a day and has ample opportunity to stretch their legs and potty. On top of that, I'm happy to provide as much playtime as they like and work with the Owners to determine a walk schedule, with length and pace depending on what the dog prefers.

I work 9-to-5, so I am available mainly before or after work, on the weekends, or for occasional weekday lunch-times. If you have any scheduling questions just let me know--I won't agree to a sit unless I'm sure I have time to give your pets all the attention they deserve.
