Ever since I could remember I have completely adored dogs (and all animals), they are such a joy in life. I was lucky enough to always have a dog growing up and we have since owned two beautiful, if slightly troubled rescue dogs that we worked hard to help. We have decided to take a break from owning dogs for a while, but would love to still have the company of dogs to fill the dog shaped hole in our lives. Our home is very well set up for dogs with a lovely comfortable sofa that the dogs can lounge on in the open plan kitchen. We are all about cuddling up on the sofa with our dogs whilst watching TV. We have a full secure garden with a special fence around the inside for extra safety. We even fitted a stable door in the kitchen to prevent any escapees from the front door. Dogs are a massive part of our lives, we would never think of going out to see friends or for a meal with ought taking the dogs. Thank goodness for British pubs and the great British public. We would care for your dog as if it was our own and all the dogs we’ve ever looked after rush in to the house pulling at the leash. My neighbours who I dog sit for can’t walk past our house with ought the dog straining to go in. We learnt a great deal trying to rehabilitate two troubled rescue dogs with positive training methods (CARE). We worked with a professional dog trainer who taught us a great deal about dog psychology and positive reinforcement. So we use high value treats to show dogs what we want from them and build a strong bond built on trust and good communication. Your dog will be allowed to lounge on the sofa and bed, we don’t really have a dog free zone in the house, which is just how we like it!
