Bark Less Wag More!

Pet care experience

I am a 19 year old girl who has grown up in a family which has always had dogs. I have a driving license and a car so am mobile which makes accessing different areas easier. I am fast responding, flexible and efficient as well as being trustworthy around your beloved family members. I am also fully insured and DBS checked. Please message me regarding prices as I have gone on to set up a company & some of the prices on here don’t come up accurate! I have experience with dogs as big as German Shepherd’s to dogs as small as Chihuahua’s. I treat every dog in my care like they are my own. I always focus on what suits the animals needs and ensure they feel as comfortable as possible in my care. Although I have a part time job I very rarely go out so am often always home so your fury friends are never alone for long. My first job at 14 was in a cafe which I worked in for 4 years, this cafe was dog friendly and I had the opportunity to build up bonds with many of the dogs which came in regularly. From this I was able to arrange private dog sitting services with customers which has given me experience with different breads, sizes and natures of dogs. Working in the cafe there were 4 different age dogs all different breads so I was able to learn their individual characters and needs. I am currently studying Tourism Management at University. This means alongside my studies I have a lot of free time which is beneficial for those who would prefer a drop in service. I do have a part time care job which means notice is advised so that I can spend quality time with your dog! I have also had experience dog sitting with not just colleagues but customers of my previous job as well as looking after the dogs which lived on the premises, walking, washing, feeding and playing with them. I would love to build my love for dogs into something bigger and I have decided this field of work is what I am most passionate about. I have experience dealing with a dog with a disability after adopting a 10 month old puppy who suffered saddle thrombosis. I had to inject her frequently every day and gave her 24/7 assistance helping her walk. Although not trained I was able to perform her medical needs on her to save constant trips to the vets and had to massage her legs daily as well.

Rosyln is lovely and our dog Wilfie seemed very happy and relaxed with her. When we got home from our holiday he was content and settled, and I can highly recommend Roslyn for House of dog sitting. Communication with Rosyln was easy and she was helpful and very friendly too. Would highly recommend!

Ros is a loving and caring dog owner. Roz walked my parent's lakeland terrier on a few occasions and from a dog that really isn't bothered about people, or other animals, Roz won her over. Thoroughly recommend Roz to any dog owners, she will treat your pet like her own .

Roz is a kind and caring individual who strives to succeed in life. She is excellent with animals and will go out of her way to meet her customers diverse needs. She is trustworthy and honest and her can-do attitude makes her very easy to work with. Her calm approach and demeanor makes her a first choice for dog sitting needs.

When I met Rosalyn she did not own a dog at the time. However I did, my dog is my baby and I would not allow anyone but my parents to look after her. However Rosalyn fell in love with my dog and it seemed the feeling was mutual. She looked after my dog when I went on holiday which was 2 weeks at a time, my dog was very well looked after (spoilt in fact). Rosalyn has looked after my dog on a lot of occasions, she has also popped in to take her for a walk whilst I was at work. My dog loves her to bits, there was a time that she was concerned about Poppy (my dog) that she called me and with my permission took her to the vets. All was well and Rosalyn cared for Poppy until my return giving me full details of what the vet had said. Rosalyn bought herself her own puppy who is now 3 or 4 I believe, she love him to bits, she takes him almost everywhere with her and their bond is unbreakable. Rosalyn is very trust worthy and honest, I trust her completely especially with my baby Poppy and my fairly new addition Lola.

Information Rosalyn G. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preference, or size preference. The information I would look to know is dieting information, how long and often to be walked, whether the dog is good on/off the lead and if friendly with other dogs. This would be purely so I can adjust my way of handling the dog to the needs of the dog to ensure they are as comfortable as they can possible be. I would also ensure I know of any medical issues and if the dog is on medication. From having a puppy which needed frequent injections and oral medication I was able to learn and perform these injections on her however I would want the owner to run through medication and applying medical needs to the dog.

A typical day

I usually take my dog on walks over fields, by lakes, nature reserves or beaches. He loves a long run so I am used to walking long distances. Playing with toys and having a cuddle while watching a film on the sofa in the evening is another my dog loves! I would love to be able to share this fun with other dogs as well as my own.
