Reactive dog whisperer

Pet care experience

Truth is, I want a dog more than anything, but I can't be a forever home, so... Rover! I've taken care of my neighbors', coaches', and family friends' pets for as long as I can remember and have never met animal I didn't love. I'm very active and love to take dogs on walks/runs/hikes! I have experience caring for senior pups and dogs with special needs (deaf, blind, and deaf-blind) as well as administering a variety of medicines (injections, eye/ear drops, oral meds— I have lots of tricks up my sleeve). I've been told I'm the reactive/anxious dog whisperer (really it's just a lot of patience and love).

Rosie was great and my pups took to her right away. Will definitely use again! Highly recommended!

Rosie took terrific care of our German Shepherd mix and of our home. Our pup usually takes a while to get comfortable with new people and has some separation anxiety, but Rosie knew how to make her relaxed and also have her follow her lead/direction immediately. Rosie kept us up-to-date and kept our pup busy with walks, parks, and cuddles. We arrived home to find our place in spotless condition. We'd definitely have Rosie stay with our GSD again.

We boarded our 7 year old golden retriever with Rosie over a weekend while we were in town for a wedding. This is my first Rover booking and Rosie thoughtfully walked me through the process and followed up directly since I inadvertently hadn’t officially confirmed! She was incredibly accommodating with our multiple schedule changes. Additionally, she is conscientious and absolutely trustworthy to disclose everything. She contacted us immediately with an issue and followed through with a vet consult to ensure there were no safety concerns. I only wish she was local since I would leave our dog with her again!

Safety, trust & environment

In your home, I will care for your dog as you describe! I'm game for lots of walks—or just a few, for our senior friends—and can keep up with whatever diet and/or medication regimen your pup is on.

Information Rosalind S. would like to know about your pet

It's important that you let me know if your dog has special needs (whether that be a sight or hearing impairment or a health issue), and especially if they have medications that need to be administered. I have experience with animal injections, so that's totally doable. I'll just need to know dosage and schedule for whatever drug your pup needs to stay healthy. It would also be great to know if your dog has pet peeves (certain places they don't like to be pet, if they're particularly wary of children or strangers, if they don't like bikes/skateboards, or if you suspect they've had some sort of traumatic experience that affects their behavior). I just want to make sure that I'm looking out for your dog's needs.

A typical day

I love working on skills and confidence-building with dogs, so if you have certain requests for tricks or skills you'd like me to keep up while you're gone, I would be so happy to oblige!
