Experienced Cat Sitter (East Bay)

Pet care experience

Hey cat people! I’m Ronnie and I'm an experienced and insured cat sitter from El Cerrito. I have over 10 years of cat sitting experience. I have 2 cats of my own, and enjoy cat sitting as a full-time job!! I became a professional cat sitter for a private company called The Comforted Kitty. I joined Rover in 2021 to expand my clientele. As of 2024 I acquired pet sitter insurance which allows me to offer my services independently. Please don't hesitate to inquire! I'm happy to answer any questions on how to book me personally. It's much more convenient and less costly for my clients and myself. :) This "gig" is my passion and has been a wonderful experience! I have cared for hundreds of kitty cats all over the East Bay and my knowledge on cats has grown extensively! My clients often tell me they feel relieved knowing their cats and home are in good hands of a reliable, trustworthy, and professional cat/house sitter. It’s my goal to ensure my clients and their cat(s) feel at ease and worry-free while pet parents are away on vacation. Along with the usual sitting duties (litter, feeding, water, & medicine), I generously help my clients with other tasks such as bringing in their mail & packages, watering plants, taking out the trash & garbage bins, cleaning up cat messes, and ensuring home safety (house alarms, lock box, keeping a light on, windows closed, etc.). I am experienced with administering medicine in pill and powder form at no extra fee. I can watch up to 4 cats per household and do not charge for extra cats. :) 5 or more cats per household require 1 hour visits minimum. At the end of each drop-in visit, I send lots of cute pictures of your cat(s) with a detailed update/report. I hope to meet you and your kitties soon! ≽^•⩊•^≼ (P.S. I am a cat whisperer when it comes to the shyest of cats. 😸)

I was nervous to leave our cats for the first time, but it was such a relief having Ronnie take such good care of them. Her daily updates and photos helped assure me that the cats were doing well while I was gone. One of my cats can be pretty shy with new people, but before long she was happily jumping into Ronnie's lap to be pet.

Once again, Ronnie did an excellent job taking care of my two kitties for a month while I was traveling in Asia. In addition to caring for the kitties, she brought in my mail and made sure my house plants survived. Couldn’t ask for a better cat sitter!

Ronnie is the best sitter we've had. She takes attentive and thorough care of our cats and responds promptly and professionally in all our correspondence. She accomplishes everything asked and does a wonderful job of everything. Our cats are extremely shy but have warmed up to her increasingly. She rocks!

I have a thorough routine when caring for your cat and home. I first take care of the most important tasks such as feeding, refreshing water, litter duty, and administering medicine if needed. I spend the rest of the visit playing with them, giving them lots of scritches, treats, daily affection, and brushing if they like it. :) A detailed update and pictures are sent at the end of each visit.

Information Ronnie Arianna T. would like to know about your pet

Please provide their name, gender, age, and if they are a rescue cat. I am always interested in learning their adoption story if you wish to share. :) I would like to know if they are up to date on vaccinations, have had any past/current medical issues (urinary stones, worms, etc.), have behavior concerns like aggression or is a door darter. I prefer to keep cats inside throughout the sittings, but can accommodate for a well behaved indoor/outdoor cat. :) If your cat requires medication, please consult with me before the meet and greet. I have some experience administering medicine to cats, such as hiding pills/powdered probiotics in their wet food, and injecting a topical solution onto a cat's gums.

A typical day

Here is a typical walkthrough of the cat sitting process: 1. I will respond to your request and confirm my availability for the sitting dates. 2. After confirmation, we will schedule an in-person Meet & Greet at your residence. Please have a house key copy ready for me. 3. THE MEET & GREET: I'll fill out the meet and greet form while you walk me through the care routine and tell me about your cat. The house keys or code is given to me and we will officially book the sittings at the end. Ask me about my promo code! :) 4. THE SITTINGS: I will complete the care routine and send cute pictures of your cat(s) plus a descriptive update at the end. I aim to come at a consistent time so the cats have a routine, as this eases them. 5. At the end of the final visit, I will put your house keys in a safe location as you instructed. I can also hold on to your keys until you are back in town and arrange a key drop-off.

Availability

I typically have 5-6 clients per day. Holidays are my busiest days and I can accept up to 10 clients per day. My availability for drop-ins are from 8 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week. I highly recommend booking sittings 1-2 weeks in advance to guarantee my availability. **Having grace & flexibility with the sitting times is very much appreciated! <3 The drive time between clients varies. I try to avoid peak traffic times to save on mileage & gas. HOUSE SITTINGS: Please book 4 weeks in advance, so I can ensure I don't book too many drop-in visits. I intend to spend at least 60% of the day house sitting. I am open to overnight sittings as well!
