Welcome to my page! Safety first for your babies and mine. UPDATE: There is a terrible upper respiratory virus going around that is giving dogs pneumonia. If your dog is showing signs of coughing, lethargy, or not eating - please do not board or ask for a meeting. I am screening dogs carefully at this time. ALSO I am no longer taking puppies under 1.5 years of age at the time of boarding. My dogs are getting older and can't handle too much hyperactivity. Please note that my home has lovable little creatures such as a cat. If your dog does not get along with cats or if you are not sure, please find a sitter that is more suitable. I take in dogs that are kitty-friendly only. :) Hi I'm Roni and I love dogs! I'm kind, curious and passionate about animal care. I'd love to meet you and your four legged friend! I grew up with dogs and they have always been my best friends! I have loved them, cared for them and played with them for over 25 years. I just can't stay away from those happy faces. I have watched many dogs over the years, and have been the go-to sitter for friends and family. I have enjoyed every minute of it! I treat other's dogs like my own, they're my furry extended family. I'm currently owned by two dogs. My dog, Isabel, is a Chihuhua/Pomeranian who loves to play and is very sweet. She is a little timid at first, but warms up if your pup doesn't chase her at first. Rosie is a dachsund/chihuahua and is super playful. She LOVES to play with other dogs. I joke she loves dogs more than people! (Even though she is super cuddly). I'm a graphic designer and a photographer who works from home, and I am my own boss which gives me ample time to care for your dogs. If you have a tiny dog, or an elderly dog who is in need of special care and can't be around more rambunctious dogs, no problem, I will separate them in another part of my house where they will receive just as much love and attention from me. Safety is incredibly important and I want all dogs in my care to be safe, loved and happy! Before your baby's stay, I will always ask that you where he/she sleeps (if they sleep in your bed, no problem) and that you bring any crates, bedding and anything familiar. Also, I have a habit of making your dog eat when they are here! Especially finicky eaters will get dog-safe dinners and treats (with your permission, and being that they have no allergies). I give treats like carrots, cored apples and pumpkin as well as mixing things in their dog food they will enjoy and is safe. Any feeding instructions you may have is highly encouraged! I prefer dogs who are socialized well with other dogs. If your dog has bad territorial issues, or, is aggressive or super timid, I prefer you find a sitter who does not own dogs :) My little chihuahua girls are rambunctious and playful so dogs that can get along with them are key. I also no longer take large breed puppies under 1 year old. I will only take small breed puppies under 1 year old. They are too destructive on property at this age. I also try to keep your dog on the schedule they are used to: i.e., feeding times, walking times, etc. Once booking takes place, you are welcome to drop off and pick up your dog between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm at night. I will not have pick ups or drop offs past 7 pm at night. If you can't come to pick up your baby after 7 pm, you need to book another evening with me. A note about meet and greets: I am always open to meet and greets. I do take the time to open my home to you and your dog for meetings. Please read over the reviews, and feel free to ask questions. Also, if you can not make it for meetings, I'd appreciate you letting me know well in advance. Thank you for respecting me and my home :) Common Q & A: Where can my dog sleep? Your dog can sleep where he/she wants! I am used to sleeping with dogs if they need someone to cuddle with at night. Or, they are welcome to sleep in the many dog beds I have, or I encourage you to bring theirs for the smell of home. Do you walk the dogs? If your dog is accustomed to daily walks, then, your dog will get the walks they need. I do not force dogs to go on walks if they can't handle it due to health reasons, or the extreme heat here in Las Vegas. However, I do try to keep their schedule aligned with what they are used to. How many dogs do you usually board? I usually board around two at a time. Due to overlapping of dogs coming in or out, it could be a little more at any given time as some dogs are going home on the day other dogs are checking in. My dog is tired after he or she comes home after being boarded. Why is that? I get this comment a lot about dogs going home exhausted, especially on short stays. Usually, the first night of a dogs stay, they will be excited as they acclimate to their surroundings. Just like people, it takes time for them to get used to where they are. I know that when I sleep in a hotel room out of town, strange noises will keep me awake. Your dog is the same way. Also, the excitement of being around other dogs and playing is a good exhaustion! Do you administer medication? Yes. I am able to give medication - whatever this entails. Can you accommodate my dog's special diet? Of course! My fridge is always open to your dogs dietary needs. I pay close attention to what your dog can or can not have. Where does my dog stay in your home? I work in a big office/ master bedroom that has access to the back yard always and I spend the majority of the time with your baby. Your dogs become like mine for their stay. Their comfort is my focus and I pay attention to their needs. Please note I do not give discounts for multiple dogs. Multiple dogs means extra work for me and attention from me. Also, please let me know the time you will be arriving to drop off and pick up your dog at my home. I do sometimes have to leave to go shopping and run errands, and would prefer to know the time you will be here to drop off and pick up your baby. Also, I do not do last minute bookings without a meeting. If you have booked with me before and I know your dog, you are welcome to book last minute. *Dog walking services: We can discuss this service, however, I require you live at least 5 miles within my residence :) Thank you!
