Pet care experience
I have a flexible weekday schedule, and what better way to spend it than with lovable doggies! I enjoy play time, parks, and snuggles as much any pup does! I have experience caring for dogs that are social or shy, high-energy or nap-loving, and attentive or easily distracted. My preference is 30+ lbs, and I live in a neighborhood made for dog lovers - with three parks and many dog-friendly shops. My experiences is in caring for a playful and strong American Bulldog-Boxer, a timid and very intelligent Australian Shepherd, and an energetic and affectionate German Shepherd. I love to get to know a pup's personality, and I can cater my very flexible weekdays around each dog, whether they need a lot of outdoor activity or prefer to stay home and chill. I love pretty much any animal I come across, and have even been teased by friends for talking to squirrels and stray cats. I'm as excitable as a child, especially with an affectionate puppy!

Rolanda housesat for us offer the Thanksgiving holiday and did a great job. She was very prompt, communicated with throughout the stay, and clearly spent a lot of time thinking about how to make our dog as comfortable as possible. Thank you!

Oh, everything! Overall temperament, health considerations, normal activity level, responsiveness to commands, allergies, sociability with other dogs and people, and weight & physical strength. As well I would consider off-leash potential, play-type preferences, how well they behave in a vehicle or public transit if necessary, and how quickly them warm up to a new sitter! Also, I will gladly reinforce any training you are working on with your pup, just let me know!
A typical day
For active dogs, On-Leash and/or Off-Leash parks, Frisbee and catch and toys (YAY toys!), brisk walks and jogging, socialization on walks if appropriate. For less active and older dogs, appropriate amounts of physical activity including paced walks, indoor and outdoor play with toys, and relaxing at parks with other dogs when they need to be social! Walks will be through residential neighborhoods or through downtown Seattle, depending on you and your dog's preferences, and their behavior around strangers.
