I use positive reinforcement to manage my time with many dogs. Dogs read emotion very well and like dogs, we are a little shy but curious of new people. When dogs see and smell me, they will realize it’s fun time. Positive energy equals positive feedback. I’ve had dogs all my life. Many different breeds and like people, they are all very different. I seek to have common ground and will earn their respect by encouraging and rewards to prove to them I mean them well. As for the masters of the home, I love all life and respect it as well. Growing up on a lake, farm and city, I have found that dogs are like family. Trusting a pet sitter can bring in anxiety for all and it will quickly fade with me once everyone gets to know my values and true love. I’m a strong believer that a dog is much more important than many other things and I’ll make it my responsibility for a safe and consistent friendship for all whom it may concern. I have two dogs over 60lbs myself. GSD & Rhodesian Ridgeback. I text like I know it all but I’m still learning all the time. I embrace lessons. I have patience and can read dogs right away. I can teach dogs to sit and remain there until handler comes back to retrieve them without treats.
