I have two dogs (and five cats) and they are my family. I stay aware and take care of their health, make sure they have fun and get exercise, do my best to keep them safe, and always let them know how much I love them. As a pet sitter, I find myself caring for my pet clients in much the same way. I believe that pets get lonely when their humans are away so, unless the human client would tell me not to (which has never happened), I like to hang out with them for while when I visit. Depending on what I'm told they like, I enjoy playing with them and/or taking them on walks. I have a very flexible schedule so I'm usually able to accommodate my clients' needs. I'm a former professional that has chosen to leave that world in favor of doing something I enjoy. I'm very responsible and have been known to go above and beyond to meet my clients' needs. For the past year I've been the "go to" volunteer for a small rescue organization, Lizzy's Animal Hospice. While we do at times work with dogs outside of our target population, our mission is to take in abandoned dogs or those in kill shelters who are elderly, have medical needs, or are terminally ill. We believe that every dog deserves to be cared for and loved, so we work to get them healthy and then do our best to place them in foster or adoptive homes. Our dogs are true survivors and helping them is one of the more rewarding things I've done in my life
