Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Rob, a stay at home dad whose youngest just started Kindergarten. This has given me ample free time to spend with our two rescue dogs: a terrier mix and Australian shepherd mix, both are medium sized and very friendly and playful. We have a fenced-in back yard and are quite active daily. Time left home alone is minimal... errands and occasional volunteering at school, so the dogs get no shortage of love and attention. We also foster dogs. Our dogs, Miloš and Maggie, got along great with our foster puppy, Charlie. We are fostering dogs not only because we want to help rescue them until they find their forever homes, but this is a way to get our dogs used to having others around for short periods of time. They were great with Charlie. They played with him and were very tolerant of his young puppy silliness. Your dog(s) will be treated like part of the family when staying with us. With 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a fenced in yard, there is lots of love and activity going on.

Robert and his family provided a great afternoon for our dog, Reilly. Reilly doesn't like being alone, so it was great that we didn't have to worry about him while we were out. Robert allowed him to feel right at home, getting Reilly to play with his kids and dogs. We'd definitely send Reilly back there!
If you're like me, you need to know that your pet is in the hands of someone who will treat him or her like their own - you need to be able to drop off your pet and not worry while away, you need to be able to come back to find your pet happy and healthy, you need the best pet sitter available. That's Robert. Can't go wrong.
Robert is not only a dog-lover, but it is clear that dogs like and respect him right back. He is so natural with them, talks to them like his own children, and they listen! My dogs respect him as much as his own dogs do. He is like the pied piper of dogs! Also, Rob's dog Milos is pretty amazing too. He actually makes visiting dogs feel welcome and comfortable! I would not hesitate to leave my dogs with Rob and his family for an extended stay.

I'd like to know how much exercise your dog ideally should get per day, any favorite toys or treats that they respond well to, any specific fears the dog may have (things to avoid or be aware of), any allergies or medical problems to be aware of with your dog, and if your dog has ever had any bad interactions with other dogs or children (mostly so I am aware of how best to avoid any repeat occurrences). Otherwise, just anything you want me to know (training regime, daily routine, etc.).
A typical day
I have two friendly playful dogs with a fenced-in yard so there will be play time at home. We live within a block of Victory Memorial parkway and go on daily walks. There are a number of local area parks where I enjoy disc golfing quite often. The dogs love walking through the woods with me on the courses. And, we frequent a few local off-leash dog parks. These dog parks are entirely optional and dependent on having proper permits. I am happy to work on training regimes and give less or extra exercise depending on your dog(s). I went through the four training courses (puppy kindergarten through level 4) at the Golden Valley Humane Society and consistently work with our dogs on training.
