Pet care experience
I owned and operated a kennel in Florida and was a canine officer for the Collier County Sheriff's Department in Naples Florida. Retired and enjoy getting out by walking dogs. I currently have a ten year old Brittany Spaniel and live in Lone Tree. I live here with my wife of thirty years. I have experience in canine training (certified USPCA trainer) and handling at all levels to include obedience, search, tracking and aggression. I also lived in the Florida Keys for seven years and collected salt water tropical fish and maintained holding facilities. So besides dogs I have experience in tropical fish and aquariums. For hobbies I enjoy playing golf and during the summer going hiking and fishing in the mountains. We get away on vacations at least a couple times a year and like to go somewhere we can scuba dive.

He is a wonderful sitter that we will miss when he moves to FL! The dogs were well taken care of while I was out of town. I received texts regularly to update me on how thing were and pics of the dogs.

I have one older Brittany Spaniel who gets along with everyone. He is very gentle and calm. I do not sit aggressive dogs. My wife also helps me or keeps me company while I am watching the dogs. I limit how many dogs I watch or walk and will not leave alone for more that three hours or special time limits can be set up with client. I am very flexible.

All breeds and sizes are fine. I want to know from the owner if there are aggression tendencies towards people or dogs and if there is a running issue if the dog gets off leash. Any fears, likes or dislikes the dog might have and medical issues I would like to make note of. I would like specific instructions where and when I should take the dog to the vet for medical issues.
A typical day
Where I will walk the dog depends on the area and the owners preference. I prefer open spaces and park type areas when possible. I always have a ball and ball thrower handy if the dog likes to fetch. I depend on input from the own to know what the dogs likes. Some dogs like to play tug and not fetch. Some dogs just like to Chill.

I am retired and do this for exercise and to keep busy. My schedule is wide open for the most part when we are not traveling.
