I prefer small dogs especially because my dogs are small. I'd like to know about your dogs' personality and temperament. I'll need to know if your dog has any allergies or dietary restrictions.

I have lots of toys and things to chew on. I have the Dog TV channel on a big screen TV. Although I live in a dog friendly apartment building in the financial district in downtown Richmond, there are so many places to explore outside. I'm near Kanawha Plaza where there is a HUGE area to run around. I have a super long retractable leashes that provides lots of freedom but gives me the control. I'm also close to Capitol Park. It's beautiful with lots of clean landscaped walking areas. I'm not formally trained but I bathe and groom my own dogs. I can provide pictures of my work so you can judge for your self. I have soothing oatmeal shampoo and conditioner, quality clippers with multiple guards, specialized scissors, and a doggy hair dryer. I'm patient, kind, and sensitive to a dog's emotional needs. I only use positive reinforcement and learn a dog's likes and dislikes such as needing head scratching, belly rubbing, lap time, or mild to rough playfulness (tug of war, fetching, etc) The closest animal hospital is Church Hill Animal Hospital 1.4 miles away. I'm big on safety and proactive actions to anticipate issues and observing behaviors that are not beneficial. I'm a former Special Education teacher certified to work with children with emotional difficulties that included outbursts, a lack of impulse control, and severe attention deficits with hyperactivity. If I can operate in such a volatile environment, dogs are easy peasy!
