Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover since birth! My family always had pets and everyone I know trusts me to care for their dogs because I will treat them as my own. I volunteered with the Humane Society of Louisiana assisting with their adoption process and following up with the newly placed dogs. My ultimate dream is to own a few more acres and have room to rescue more animals. I am open to boarding, drop ins, and dog walking! I live in a house with a large fenced in yard. My dog is an escape artist, so we made sure the property is secure- no worries there. I do work full time, but I am off on evenings and weekends. Also- my dog is a rescue, and she has separation anxiety, so I understand those issues as well. I look forward to hearing from you and taking care of your pups!

Our 2 boys absolutely love Riya!! We pull up to her house and tails are wagging and they’re always excited to greet her! We get videos or photos giving us a glimpse of their time away and having a fun time. Afterwards, they always come home and fall asleep - having partied themselves out at her place! We’re thankful she’s close and works with our schedule!
As my two fur babies sleep (snoring and tongues out) on the couch next to me - nothing will wake them because they had an amazing weekend with Riya and are utterly worn out! When we pull up to her house, they are running up to meet her and excited to start their time at her home. I’m getting photos and updates from her throughout their stay so I know they’re napping on couches or snuggled up watching a movie with her or out playing in the yard. We are absolutely thankful for Riya and her loving on our babies when we need to go out of town!
Riya always does an amazing job!! We recently added a new fur baby to the mix and she sent us pics while we were away assuring us everyone was doing great! She even gave one a bath after he had played a little to much in the dirt - so we got him back better than when we dropped him off! We also had horrible traffic and came by late to get them and she was gracious enough to stay up and let us pick up. We can’t say enough great things about our experience with Riya - we are so thankful to have her love and watch our babies when we leave town!
Riya, did an excellent job with Dave. We were very pleased and truly enjoyed the updates and photos. This was his first stay away from us and Very thankful to Riya for helping to make our vacation great in knowing Dave was happy also. Definitely will bring Dave back for boarding again.

I would need to know if your dog gets along with children, I have a 12 year old. Also, are they house trained? Are you strict with letting them have "people" food? Are they active or do they prefer to lounge around? These aren't strict questions, just good to know your preferences and your dog's personality! I do require a meet and greet before our first booking, so please be aware of that. It normally only takes a few minutes. It is good to see how your dog interacts with us before leaving them alone with us for the first time!
A typical day
I have about 4-5 acres of land that is perfect for running around and playing fetch. I also live down the street from the dog park so we can go there as a treat!
