Pet care experience
Hi Everyone! I currently work at a dog kennel, I’ve been there for about a year now. I have experience with pet sitting for short and long periods of time as well. I love dogs more than anything and greatly enjoy long walks with them or sitting on the floor with them and relaxing in front of a heater or in the sunshine. I can read dogs well and can usually tell how they’d like to spend their time with me. I have experience in caring for older dogs, dogs with medical issues, aggressive dogs, energetic dogs, lounging dogs and puppies. My own dogs seem to enjoy me (but they are quite sassy so you can never really tell). Feel free to message me with any questions!

River has been around animals her whole life and has worked at a Charlton Kennel on Sauvie Island for over a year now! She is very caring and sweet with all creatures but is partial to dogs! Since I have gone back to work and recently added a puppy to our family she comes to feed and take them out for walks when I need her too! I would highly recommend her to anyone ?
I've worked with River over the last year and witnessed first hand how joyous and well handled she is with both the dogs and cats she has looked after. She is attentive to the animals care, enjoys playing with them and is pleasant to communicate with. If you want your pet to have a happy relationship with their caretaker, you'll find that in River.
Knowledgeable , loving and caring is how River treats and cares for dogs. Willing to brave the elements so her four legged friends have fun and not afraid to get her shoes muddy in the name of a fun walk. 10/10 I would recommend her to watch my furry child.

A typical day
There is a great trail by our house that goes by the Portland Golf Club. There is also an unofficial dog park right behind that I take my pups to. If your dog is good at recall I would love to play fetch with them or just let them do zoomies (run in really fast circles).
