Happiness is Walking a Dog or Two!

Pet care experience

We are a home of dog lovers! My sister-in-law is here as well and helps to take care of the dogs. She can be seen in the photos. As a wise woman once said, " I remember all the names of the dogs on our street and never mind the owners!" We give your baby a caring environment with affection and play, but also structure and a calm atmosphere. Ease your fears of leaving your child. We practice patience and most of all humor! We know how important your furbaby is to you, and we're here to lend a hand in these difficult times! We have plenty of beds and toys for a great time! We have organic dog treats though we're not TOO generous. We do give baths with organic dog shampoo and a brushing if that is what your dog requires. We also have an extra-large and a medium dog crate for our sitter needs. Please provide a dog food that is specific to your dog's needs to avoid accidents and upset stomachs.

Dogs were healthy and happy when they were picked up. Unfortunately, I was not there to speak with Rita but I definitely plan to use her again

Rita is always fantastic with Lanie. It makes our trips a little easier knowing she is in great hands while we are away. :)

Information Rita P. would like to know about your pet

No aggressive or large breeds (Above 40 pounds). You should also know that Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty is just down the street from us. We need to know any quirks your dog may have. Does he/she have anxiety or destructive habits? This is crucial information for us to maintain proper care and keep your dog safe. Is your dog crate and leash trained? House trained? Is your dog an escape artist? Most importantly what keeps your dog happy?! Cuddles? Belly rubs? We want your dog to find their time with us enjoyable and stress free!

A typical day

Depending or your specific care guide and your dog's personality our activities range from hiking, to dog parks, to simple neighborhood walks. We are very active, particularly in the Summer. Near our home are many parks such as Cottonwood Recreation Area, green spaces, and two dog parks. We also travel South to Bear Creek Dog Park on weekends when the weather permits. If your dog is of the adventurous type we LOVE road trips to hiking trails and swimming holes. If they're laid back we also enjoy simple walks and quieter play time. Fetch is a favorite in our home. We do not teach "tricks" to your dog as this adds unnecessary stress more often than not. Please note: We do not sit dogs aggressive towards other dogs.
