Pet care experience
For the majority of my life, I had wanted to become a veterinarian, and it is only in the past few years that I changed my career choice. I have a 15 year-old pug-beagle mix named Luna and I also had two guinea pigs for 5 of those years. Starting around age 10, I also took care of neighbors’ and friends’ cats and dogs, including walking, feeding, petting, and playing with them. I'm temporarily living with my family due to COVID, but my dog is very old and I can't take her on long walks anymore. I am very active, so I can take on rambunctious animals, but as I said, my dog is very old, so I am also experienced with older, slower animals as well.

If they have certain behavioral issues or activities they are not allowed to do, as well as any medications or other special needs. I have taken care of many animals that are very finicky when getting to know others, and having all the important information to begin with helps to earn their trust.
A typical day
Depending on the dog and their needs, I would take them for a walk or run, to the dog park, on a hike, to play tug of war or fetch, or even just to play inside.

Availability
I am currently filling out paperwork and doing onboarding tasks for my new position with the BLM beginning in March. Until then, I have nearly no plans and would like to spend some time with animals and make a little money on the side.
