Pet care experience
I have had dogs in my life for over 10 years and now that I have moved out of my parent's place I have been missing the happy presence of my family dog, Isla. I know I cannot afford a puppy right now but as an active person who lives right by a beautiful, large park, all I want is to spend my free time practicing my dog training skills and bringing the dog on a nice long walk. I have been a pet sitter in the past and it is one of the best gigs out there! I work Monday - Friday at a marketing agency and get off early on Fridays. My weekends are completely free this is when I would primarily be available for pet sitting. My apartment is a semi basement with direct access to our back yard & quiet alley. Although I do not have a fenced yard, I would take the dog for regular walks around the block for potty breaks, and at least 1 long walk down to maissoneuve park for exercise & on-leash training.

I prefer dogs that come with a crate so I know the dog has their space when they are with me. Otherwise a dog bed from home is great. The yard behind my apartment is not fenced, but we back out to a quiet alleyway. I would always have the dog on-leash when leaving the home. I am a strong individual and have cared for 100lbs+ dogs before. I have also house-sat while dogsitting and the safety and security of your home and dog are my number 1 priority. I will never post pictures online from your home while you are away.

I would like to know what tricks and obedience the dog is working on at the time so I can continue that training. I am a firm believer in physical exercise and obedience training as the best way to "work-out" a dog. I love all dogs but have the most experience with shepards and retrievers so I feel really comfortable with those breeds.
A typical day
I live moments from the maissoneuve park and a few large parks around me so I would have the dog out for at least 1 long walk. I would give the dog lots of love, and work on any training that the owner requests.

Currently working from home so weekday dog-sitting is available* Monday - Thursday: 9 - 5:30 Friday: 9:30 - 1 PM Weekends I am available (calendar has most up-to-date info). I typically get all stat holidays off as well.
