Compassionate Animal Lover

Pet care experience

Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was a young kid. My family rescued dogs and cats, and I've continued that trend into adulthood. There are few things more important to me than rescuing animals and showing them that life can be so beautiful and that there are people who are capable of loving and caring for them unconditionally.

Riley did a wonderful job with our puppy Leo while staying at our house for 4 nights and 5 days. She was excellent with her communication and sent lots of photos showing Leo was happy and comfortable. Thanks Riley!

Riley was phenomenal. My dog ended up having an upset stomach and she was a trooper in caring for him. I appreciated she washed his slow feeder bowl and even washed his empty food can. It’s the simple things that I notice when dog sitters take the extra step. Looking forward to using her again.

Riley was great with our older dog! He needs medicine 3 times a day and Riley was on top of it for the whole stay. He seemed to really enjoy their time together. She sent updates everyday, which really helped ease my mind.

Everything seemed to go really well. She was able to follow my very specific directions (due to my dog's special needs) and took good care of him.

Safety, trust & environment

Trust is everything. Loyalty and integrity are an integral part of it. I know some people are hesitant to invite someone into their home to take care of basically their child(ren) when they are away, and I completely understand that and have the same feelings myself. I am inherently motivated to not only meet your animal's basic needs, but to provide them with warmth, love, consideration, appreciation, and nurturing care. I have the experience and gut instinct necessary to truly connect with them and ensure their emotional needs are fulfilled. Your instructions are very important to me, and help me understand how to best take care of your home and best friend. They also help me get to know your companion ahead of time. I am definitely comfortable caring for animals that need extra care and attention. I don't shy away from these kinds of jobs. I am also open to negotiating my prices if necessary. Rover does take a decent percentage so I try to factor that into my rates.

Information Riley C. would like to know about your pet

What is your companion animal's personality like? What is his or her temperament on walks? What does your pet need to be comfortable, happy, and fulfilled? What do you usually do with him or her on a day-to-day basis? What quirks or special needs does your pet have? Is there anything unusual that "triggers" him or her?

A typical day

Going outside and getting exercise is a priority for me as an individual and a sitter. I'm definitely not a stranger to long walks -- I actually really enjoy them -- and can easily meet the needs of large and high-energy dogs. We can go for walks practically anywhere, even in nature preserves. I'd be willing to drive to a nature preserve if your pup is used to it. I'd also be happy to play with your dog in your backyard or in your home to keep him or her calm and fully exercised. Cats tend to be a bit easier... I am totally happy to just chill with your feline friend, cuddle up with him or her, play with a string toy, and stay at your home as much as you want me to.

I work full time from home and have a pretty flexible schedule. On most days I would be able to walk your dog (or cat!) at any time and hang out with them most of the day. I make a point to stay with them a lot.
