We were beyond disappointed by Rileah. We paid her for house-sitting our dog, which Rover defines as spending the night and spending a good chunk of the day with the pet. In addition when I booked Rileah I specifically asked if she could spend the night and she stated she would. She did not spend the night or spend hardly any daytime with our dog, and only did drop-ins to feed him and briefly take him outside. We have a home security system and over the 3 days she watched him, she spent 1 hour and 30 minutes TOTAL with him. 1 hour and 30 minutes over 3 days!! Our poor dog was roaming the house at all hours of the night, waiting for someone to care for him. He was almost completely neglected. She said he growled at her which is why she didn’t spend the night, but we have 24/7 video and audio monitoring and he absolutely NEVER growled. Nor has ever in his entire life growled at anyone. We also specifically instructed her to feed him at 7:00am and at 4:00pm, and to take him out on three walks (not in the backyard). Instead he was fed late in the morning and evening, left to be hungry and confused about his schedule changing. She took him on ONE single walk the entire three days. She only visited him two times per day, let him out in the backyard for a minute and fed him then left. She did not engage with him whatsoever, or even talk with him. We ended up asking our neighbor to spend time with our dog since Rileah refused to do so. Rileah also didn’t communicate with us on how our dog was doing, I had to elicit information from her on a daily basis. We have had countless sitters on Rover in the past and have been very satisfied, and when we met Rileah she seemed to be genuine and care about pets, but clearly we were completely deceived. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent our time worrying about how alone our dog was, constantly checking the camera feed to see if he was getting any attention.
