I have always grown up with dogs and love caring for them. I'm the go-to guy when friends and family go on vacation to take care of their beloved pets. I wouldn't trust just anyone to take care of my own dog, and I treat every dog the way I want my dog to be treated when I'm away.

I have a 12 yr old poodle who had a rough start in life and trusts NO ONE….except the immediate family (no aunts, uncles, etc. lol) and Richie. It took Richie less than a half hour to gain our pup’s trust and love. Therefore he has been the only one who can watch our little guy outside of my kids for the last 5 years. He is very kind, professional, and clearly loves dogs, cats, and all animals. Added bonus is that he’s very neat and clean. Hard to tell he was even in the house, except for our dog is happy and well cared for. Without me asking, he sends pictures & videos daily. I feel 100% secure when Richie is at our house, and I 100% recommend him if you’d like to relax without worry on your days away from your pet.
Richie is an excellent pet sitter who truly loves animals. He has that special intuition and gentle spirit only true animal lovers possess. My dogs are super happy when they’re with Richie. They love playing with him, getting walks, and snuggling with him. He’s a true gem and I wouldn’t want anyone else to care for my boy!

I know my own pets thrive on their daily routine, so I will stick to yours as close as possible to minimize stress and keep your pets busy. I'll send picture updates and keep you posted on how your dog (and/or) cat is doing every day. I welcome frequent communication and it's never a bother, because I'm very much the same when I'm on vacation thinking of my own dog and cat!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or preferences that would make their time with me better for them. I know all of our dogs (and cats!) have little quirks in their routine, and I would love to accommodate that so that they feel comfortable and happy.
A typical day
When I'm taking care of your dogs, I'll follow their routine as closely as possible at first, just to make sure they know they are safe and cared for in my company. After we become fast friends, I'm happy to do more of whatever makes them happy. I'm pretty active and frequently hike Mount Wanda, trails at Briones, and love hanging out at Hidden Lakes park, too -- and I'd love to take your dog along with me. But I'm also perfectly content to stay home and watch movies with them all day too, if that's what they prefer. I welcome all energy levels and ages.
