Pet care experience
I have a large fenced backyard offering room for exercise. I suppose like everyone either working through Rover or an owner looking for a reliable person to care for their pet, I am a huge animal lover, especially dogs (all sizes and breeds). As a dog owner - and often as a sitter too after a few stays with me - i never forget the unique personalities and traits of each animal and the wonderful fun and times we share. In this life, I will never be without one or more beloved "best friend". And in the next world, I look forward being reunited with them all. I assume you feel the same about your own furry companion, and so I will care for each as well as you do.....well, almost😉 I promise.

Richard was so wonderful with Zena. This is her first time staying with someone and we were worried about her. Richard sent us updates and pictures which made us super comfortable. Zena can't wait to come back and play with Chief.
We were so thankful to Richard for doing a last minute accommodation during an emergency. We were reassured that Lima was in good hands since he provided us updates, photos, and catered to her particular needs. He’s wonderful and kind. Highly recommend Richard!
He was wonderful! I reached out to book pretty last minute and he was happy to take Squiggy in! He kept in touch with me and sent pictures. He was VERY considerate of my little diva! I would absolutely book with Richard again!
Richard was very sweet, kind, and patient with my 4 year old husky and 3 month old lab puppy. He welcomed them into his home with open arms, and accommodated to their needs. I received daily updates and pictures from Richard and felt completely safe and comfortable leaving my boys in his care!

Information Richard S. would like to know about your pet
I need to be aware if your dog has shown aggression to people or other dogs. I have yet to meet a dog that didn't like me (well, ok there was one Chihuahua), so I am not concerned about myself per se. But if your pet doesn't get along with other dogs, then the best pet sitting solution would be for me to make trips to where the pet lives. Alternatively, i could crate him/her in one you provide. Please inform me of your dog's typical behavior; the more I know, the better caretaker I can be!
A typical day
My yard is an ideal place for dogs to run and play, chasing balls, Frisbee or whatever they like to do. Plenty of fresh water will be available.as well as treats you provide in addition to what I give with your permission. I have owned large and giant breeds including Rottis, a St. Bernard, two Great Danes, a Great Dane/English Mastiff mix, and German Shepherd/Collie mix. I have a special place in my heart for English Bullies and have owned three while my kids have had several as well. A GF also adopted two and so oftentimes we were overflowing with Bullies. What fun!

I am nearly fully retired, so aside from normal errands, family/friends, hobby and sports activities I am home all day. occasionally, I do computer work but remain attentive to my paramount duty to our 🐕!
