Richard replied fast and was very informative. Rory had a great time and got to play with other dogs and was asleep before we got home.
Richard has been amazing with my dog Bobby. Bobby is a big boy at 60 kilos and some sitters may have found this an issue but Richard welcomed him (and his clumsy ways) with open arms and a good sense of humour. I love the updates I get as it puts my mind at rest. Richard has been very flexible and available at short notice. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

Ahoy Capt'n !

What Richard would like to know about your dog
We are a husband and wife team that home board, walk and do day care for over 100 different dogs a year whilst their owners are at work, on holiday. We haven't just ticked a box to say we are legal, we actually are legal and we hold a valid Dog Home Boarding licence - ask to see it and demand one from anyone advertising paid Dog Home Boarding services in the UK. It is a huge part of your dogs safety for being looked after overnight by someone being paid to do it. Legal Dog Home Boarding establishments are required to board dogs who are vaccinated so we need to know if your dog is vaccinated. A Kennel cough vaccination is NOT required for dogs that are being Home Boarded. In order to do our job of looking after your dog we need you to let us know about your dogs medical needs, usual daily routine, whether it is neutered or not, what it eats and when. It is nothing complicated you will want to talk to us about your dog, we want to know and we will ask you what we need and what you want from us. We don't require pages of instructions not least because we are in contact with you with updates and can ask any questions that might come up during your dogs stay. Ultimately Owners know their dogs and have to make the decision whether your dog is suitable for Home Boarding. Dogs that have history of straying, are poorly socialised to the extent they can't live in proximity of other dogs or their Owner or require one to one 24hr supervision / care are not suitable. We accept most breeds and all sizes, we can handle nervous dogs, shy dogs, boisterous dogs, puppies, veterans but the mix we have in the house at any one time depends on what other dogs we have with us when you want to book. We are set up to home board dogs with plenty of internal dog gates, high quality professional leashes, harnesses, collars, luxury beds, a secure house and garden and we expect the mess and disruption to a household that this involves (our lounge is more like a stable !) You are not going to get complaints about your dog doing what dogs do or bills for new wallpaper, cleaning carpets etc..! We are flexible, experienced and practical and friendly which helps ensure your dog has a great time, with the run of the house and garden, walks and trips out, and you don't get hassle whilst your dog is in our care and there are no issues over and mess, damage etc your dog might cause whilst they are here... We have never had to cancel a Home Boarding Booking at short notice or required and owner to collect their dog from us or moved it to kennels etc during a stay...we have many repeat customers and we love the individual personalities of all the different breeds and types of dogs we look after.
