Richard and Evelyn took great care of Jagger! We loved getting updates and pictures about how he was doing. Knowing that be was getting attention, play, and pets instead of being stuck in a kennel was great. I would highly recommend Richard and Evelyn.

I was nervous about leaving Marty with anyone after having a bad experience with another sitter. Upon my arrival for our meet and greet, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and ease. Richard and his wife was as pleasant as can be. Marty was comfortable there as well. Then I worried about maybe 3 year old Marty being too much for them to handle but he appeared to be on his best behavior and ...

Richard was great with the two of our dogs while we were out of town! He gave us daily updates and was very communicative throughout the trip. One of our dogs is a senior at 15, and the other a young and energetic pup at 2, Richard and his wife took care of the both of them so well!

When Richard watches your pet

Depending on the time of year, I spend time with them around the house, yard or garage during weekdays waiting for my wife to get home from work. (She helps me evenings, weekends & holidays) We may play tug-of-war, fetch, hide & seek etc. if they are willing. Many older dogs simply prefer lounging around with me.

I feed and water the squirrels and birds each morning in feeders in our back yard. Many of the dogs that I watch become obsessed. As the birds and squirrels compete for the food, they stalk and chase them while having a great time motivated by their own free will. This keeps them mentally alert as well giving them a much better workout than I ever could. (It's fun to watch)

For extended stays, we may take them for a road trip or a ride to walk in the park to break the monotony. (with your permission)

PLAN AHEAD - BOOK EARLY! - We can only confirm our availability at the time of the inquiry. We get requests concerning date availability. We confirm the open date(s). Then days/weeks later we are contacted to schedule a meet & greet or book it. In the meantime someone that has used us before skipped the formalities and booked the date(s), leaving everyone in an uncomfortable situation.

Please schedule a meet & greet and/or book us ASAP to reserve the date(s) leaving enough time to cancel for a full refund and find someone else if you feel that we are not a good fit! (the sooner the better)

Inevitably, we get last minute requests from desperate owners. We would like to accommodate; however other than occasions when we already know the dogs and believe that they would be compatible, will only watch one family's dogs at a time. (up to three) We watch dogs because we enjoy the company. If we need to keep the dogs separated Evelyn & I need to be separated also to be with them defeating our purpose. THEN IT BECOMES WORK.

Other than completing an AMERICAN RED CROSS Cat & Dog FIRST AID COURSE we have no special training or skills other than years of experience, (both short & extended lengths of time) years of ownership, maturity and COMMON SENSE. We love the company of FURRY FRIENDS, live close to a vet and always keep a phone handy just in case.
