Pet care experience
I have been asked by many friends to care for dogs, cats, birds, lizards and houseplants. One time, I had to give dialysis treatment to a poor girl who got bit by a snake! Another time, I was asked to let a cat out a sit until he returned home. I've moved a lot recently, and am looking forward to settling down so I can establish a zoo. Until then, I'm looking forward to taking good care of your non-human friends and family.

Richard was an awesome dog and house sitter! He did me a huge favor by taking the job with very short notice and he communicated effectively during all of his visits. I will definitely use him again in the future if I ever need someone to watch my dog!
Richard E. makes a great pet care giver because he loves animals of all kinds. He has dog and turtle sat for me many times and they just love him. I have two dogs, one with diabetes, and he has handled all of their needs. He walked them, bathed them and given medicine when it was needed. I recommend him for pet care services. He’s a very caring guy and pays attention to detail. If my dogs could talk they would say the same!
Rich is my boyfriend, so I’m biased, but I fell in love when he met my dogs because he’s so good with them. He takes care of them throughout the week and even when I’m home. They are my babies and I fully trust him with them. They are well taken care of and he treats them as I do. He will make a great pet sitter!

Animals have different personalities and needs. So it all depends, but love and attention are always a must. I've given medical treatments to dogs, including diabetes injections and have give cats baths, if that says anything. Some dogs like it when I jog with them, others want a slower pace. So, it all depends on the situation.

Temperament, likes/dislikes, diet, medical needs, and biobreaks are all need-to-know. I've giving a fairly elaborate dialysis treatment, as well as diabetes injections. I've given topical creams for heat rashes, and oral meds (usually embedded in a treat). I have yet to clip a dog's nails because I take them to a groomer, but I've given many dog baths.
A typical day
Dogs have a lot of different interests,aptitudes, and abilities. It's important to me to match a dog's level of excitement. Some dog's really like fetch, some like tug-o-war. But, of course, every dog lives treats, belly rubs, and butt scratches! Typically, I'll take walks around a neighborhood close to home, but some dog's really like car rides.

Availability
School is back in session, so my availability is a bit limited until December. Tuesdays and Thursdays are long days for me, but I'll still try to help out. Im not available between 10am and 2pm Mon-Friday, and 4-8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. My landlord doesn't allow pets, otherwise I would board as well. Just let me know what you need and when!
