It does not prevent me from taking care of cats, as I currently do and previously house sat for parents with both dogs and cats. I am however restricted to providing only basic care (feeding & letting them inside and outside). I cannot however, engage in physical contact (petting, stroking or cuddling). Although rubbing up against my leg is fine and encouraged! <<Sigh>> If this is upsetting to hear, it is for me too, because I do like cats.
