Above and beyond exceptional care

Pet care experience

Please note that we are not providing overnight boarding at this time. For over 20 years, I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs, from Terriers to St. Bernards, with all kinds of temperaments. My favorite was a childhood dog, a toy poodle, who was a special part of our family. Your dog is a part of your family, and you want to know that they are in good hands. Your dog will be safe and loved when they are with us. We provide the perfect situation to those that want their dog to not be crated for a great portion of the day, and want their dog to receive lots of individual attention. My husband and I have 3 daughters, ages 12, 10, and 5. All avid dog lovers who will give your dog as much love and cuddles that they want. Craig and I both work from home most days and would not leave your dog at home for more than a couple of hours. Our girls are at school full time, which allows us to give your dog the care that they need. Our three story home and neighborhood will be fun for your dog. It is spacious and your dog will probably get tired just exploring and going up and down the stairs. We also have a beautiful wooded and shaded backyard for dogs to play. We live in a gated community that is very safe, and we would be happy to walk your dog on a daily basis. (My husband and children will help with walks and feeding from time to time, but I am the primary caregiver). We will spoil your baby - and you! Upon arrival, your dog will receive their own rawhide bone, which will go home with them at the end of their stay. All you need to bring is food, toys, and a favorite bed if you have one. We will provide pictures and updates throughout the day, or when instructed at our meet and greet. We will make sure your dog’s water has ice cubes in it on hot days :-). Food and treats will only be given as you instruct. If we have to leave for a short period of time during the day, we will turn on classical music for your dog while they are crated. Your dog will enjoy a bath and blow dry while in our care at no extra charge, and will come home to you happy and smelling great. You want to know that your dog will be safe and is with a competent caregiver. When outside, your dog will be on leash unless we are playing fetch or taking a quick bathroom break. I will not take them to dog parks, as sometimes other dogs can be rough. I will not have them interact with other neighborhood dogs during walks if you do not want them to. We also have a security system throughout the house. I am also able to administer pet meds, but not intravenously. Your dog’s health and safety are my primary concern. We only take one dog at a time (unless you have two dogs from the same home - then we will take both dogs), so your pet can get the rest they need when they want it, without other dogs barking or trying to play when they do not want to. I provide an option for you from traditional boarding, where your dog may not get the quiet atmosphere and attention they need and want. We have our own bowls and a quilted, cushioned, large crate that is washed and sanitized after every pet stays with us. All toys/stuffed animals will be washed and sanitized after every visit. When boarding, a nightlight will be on for your dog, and we also have a baby monitor near the crate so that we can hear if they need us during the night. Of course, per your request, your dog can also sleep on a dog bed in our room. You will not need to worry about your dog while they are in our care. Just go about you day or your trip, knowing they are being loved and cared for:-) PLEASE NOTE FOR OVERNIGHT BOARDING: Per Rover policy, the boarding rate is for 24 hours, starting at time of drop off. On the day of pick up, I charge $10 an hour, past the 24 hour mark. For example, if you drop off at 9 o’clock in the morning for boarding, pick up time will be at 9 o’clock the day of pick up. Anything past 9 o’clock will be charged an additional $10 an hour. If you are more than three hours past the pick up time, I will charge a full day of day care. Of course, I will be reasonable if you have to be a little bit late. These policies are necessary as I may have other dogs coming into my home on the day you pick up, and I need to be able to plan my calendar. Please let me know if you have any questions about this policy. PUPPIES: We love puppies and are happy to have them. However, we charge a slightly higher rate for them because they require more attention, walks, play time and care. Puppies MUST be potty trained or substantially potty trained (rarely has accidents). We understand that puppies, as well as older dogs, sometimes have accidents and we are patient and kind with dogs as they are getting use to our home. But please be considerate of our home - and our carpets - and only book us if your angel is potty trained or well along the potty training process. Just let us know how your dog “tells” you that it’s time to go potty, and we will continue with your training while they are in our care. We also have a set of bells on the back door that we like to train the dogs to use when they need to go outside.

I was very pleased with our stay for Flash. It was our first time using Rover and Rhonda's family was perfect. They did an outstanding job and provided great feedback to us during his stay. They are a wonderful family and I would use them again. Thank you!

What a wonderful and reassuring experience for us and Camille our dog. It was a true pleasure meeting this gracious, caring family. Our senior dog had a happy stay with plenty of loving and every need met; she even seemed content to remain when I came to pick her up. When one brings out a sleeping bag to be near the furry guest at bedtime, that is going the extra mile.

We had a wonderful experience with Rhonda and Craig.! We had recently booked them to watch our 11 week old labradoodle as we an unfortunate death in the family and had to fly out of state for the services. We were nervous about leaving our new untrained puppy behind . Rhonda made the process go smoothly by being extremely sympathetic to our situation and sending updates with pictures throughout the 4 days our puppy boarded with them. Rhonda and Craig also have 3 beautiful little girls that gave our puppy lots of love and attention. I highly recommend this family for your daycare/boarding needs. I will certainly be using them again if need be.

Chase had a blast. Busy all the time with this wonderful family. They fed him, walked him, had play dates, bathed him, and most importantly loved him! They were sad to see him go! So sweet! So grateful they took such good care of him.
