Animals have been my passion since before I could walk. My animal career took off when I was a small child- I trained and showed Belgian Shepherds. For 6 years I also worked at a local rescue in the asheville area, where I did cat, dog and farm animal care. I specialize in working with animals with behavioral issues. I am well versed in animal behavior, specifically positive reinforcement training. I have continued my education through conferences, online classes and seminars pertaining to training and animal behavior. I’ve also learned hands on from some of the best behaviorists in our area. I can connect and successfully handle any animal, no matter their size or special needs! My experience extends even further beyond just dogs and cats, I also train and ride horses using the same positive reinforcement standards. My most recent job was working at the Biltmore Estate with their trail horses. I have also been employed as a Farm Animal Behaviorist at the previous rescue I worked at, where I trained and socialized cows, pigs and chickens! My love for critters goes beyond just the domesticated ones. I also dabble in wildlife rehabilitation! I have lots of experience administering medications, and supervising animals with medical conditions. I will also provide care to small animals or farm animals, and will also exercise your horse(s) for a price we can agree on!
