Pet care experience
Hi, we’re Ashley & Rhett! We live with our three rescue dogs, Minnie, Ruka, and Freya. We both love animals and hope to one day make a business out of something involving caring for them. We figured Rover is a good place to start. We are both in the process of educating ourselves more about the different methods of training dogs and how to best care for them. We are both able-bodied, active adults. I mention this because we can and love to handle big dogs, even over 100 lbs, or ones that need more exercise. In contrast, we also love the smaller or senior dogs who might just need some cuddles or extra attention but not so much physical activity. IMPORTANT NOTE: The prices listed for our services are generally correct, but should be considered as guidelines. The cost can be more (extra services required, long commute) or less (multiple dog discount, not full house sitting) than what rover will tell you depending on what you need from us. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Reviews
We have 3 dogs and never have to worry when we travel. Ashley & Rhett treat our pets just like their own. They keep the pups on their schedule and provide loving care. We get updates, videos and photos while we are gone just so we can see everyone is doing great. Ashley & Rhett are very responsive whenever we reach out. They make sure our senior pup gets his medication and any other special needs they require. It is a tremendous relief to be able to keep our pups in the comfort and safety of their home while we are away. We highly recommend Ashley & Rhett and trust them completely!
Ashley is a treasure to our family. She is as kind as she is responsible & reliable. My little girl, Luna, loves her, and we feel very comfortable with Luna in her care. I have never heard any one of her clients offer anything other than rave reviews as well. I would fully recommend Miss Ashley, any day, to care for your fur babies. Gold Star ⭐️
Rhett and Ashley did a terrific job watching our babies and our home. They were timely and responsible and did all we asked of them while we were on vacation...highly recommended!
Easy to work with, would use again!

We currently cannot board or offer daycare services for any animals; but when it comes to caring or walking fur babies in your area, I am happy to follow your lead or explore. A note to any HOUSE SITTING clients: my price is based off of essentially “living” at your house while you are away, not drop ins or the typical “feed & let out at night & morning.” I will be with your pet as much as possible throughout the day and always overnight. I am also happy to take care of anything necessary and within reason around the house (getting mail, watering plants, taking out garbage, making it well known that someone is at your house for any wandering eyes/security, etc). I know this is not the case for all sitters or prices listed on Rover, so I wanted to set expectation. If you are looking for a service that is less than full house sitting but more than drop ins, the price listed is negotiable.
Information Rhett & Ashley W. would like to know about your pet
My goal is always to make your pets as happy and minimally stressed as possible, like you didn’t leave at all. This means keeping their schedules as normal as possible, in the environment that they are most comfortable in: home. Knowing everything from their regular feeding/outside times and medications/supplements to nuanced behavior, potential triggers to avoid, as well as any comforts while you’re away (their favorite toy or game, a shirt that smells like you, etc) is key. I want to know it all! Many of my clients will write out the most important information that they want me to adhere to, which is helpful to keep things consistent for when you come back home. Also, current vet info is a must! I’ve learned if we prepare for it, it’s not usually needed — which is ideal.
A typical day
I am happy to follow your lead (based on what your dog might be comfortable with) or explore new places in your area if that’s fun for your pet! Here in Florida it can sometimes be too hot to get outdoor exercise throughout the day, so knowing what games/activities are best for your dog indoors is good info!

Availability
Throughout the years, my partner, Rhett, and I have shared doing Rover services. Currently Ashley has the most available schedule and Rhett is working full time, so Ashley is mostly managing all services and can be open and extremely flexible for you and your animals’ needs.
