Great dog sitter AND house sitter!

Pet care experience

The best gift I’ve ever received was meeting the love of my life when I was a little girl. My parents brought home the cutest, softest, most lovable stuffed animal full of energy and life with the most piercing, unforgettable eyes. My childhood is filled with memories of watching Tasha grow from a tiny furball to a mighty Siberian Husky––like my very own Direwolf, long before Game of Thrones. Tasha was an amazing dog but it also felt at times like she could hear a sharp howl in the distance and just disappear into the night, no questions asked. She had this otherworldly quality that made her seem magical, and thankfully, she never reunited with her wolf pack. Growing up beside Tasha taught me so much about responsibility, compassion, reliability, and most importantly, what it means to be a best friend. I was lucky to have had a wonderful childhood, and Tasha was always there to make me feel safe and loved unconditionally. She was my protector, my guardian angel. We spent hours outside playing in the grass, exploring the scents and sights of our wondrous natural environment. Tasha coming into my life also made a huge nature lover––that’s where we both felt most at our element. Animals and nature: nothing makes me happier. I have had dogs (and cats, birds, fish) in my house for most of my life, and am currently a dog mom to my Lacey. She’s another sweetheart and I love her so much, but unfortunately Lacey’s total devotion and ardor are only directed toward me and other humans. She’s just never gotten along with other pups, and sadly for the safety and happiness of your beloved fur baby, I won’t be able to board any at my place, but I’m more than happy to housesit and be a surrogate fur mom while you’re away. I love spending time with lots of dogs, not just my own, and am an experienced house-sitter. While I do not have any professional experience with animals, I have been house and pet sitting for a very long time and I can assure you that I’ll take the best care of your pet(s) and your home. I believe in leaving your home the way I found it, so I really make a concerted effort to leave a very small footprint, if at all. I’m respectful, quiet, and enjoy spending quality time with pups, watering plants, bringing your mail in, and making sure your animals are at ease with you gone (and you're at ease that they're in good hands)! I have experience with puppies, older dogs, and dogs with disabilities and am open to all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have flexible availability and am willing to work around your schedule as much as possible. I work full-time from 9-5, but my office is super flexible with allowing me to work from home or take extended lunches, so I can still spend the night and make sure to come to the house to stretch your legs and bladder. We will go on long walks in the morning and in the evening, with a break midday whether it’s some time in the backyard or a brisk walk around the block. Evenings and weekends are totally available, and I’m happy to help even if it’s last-minute because of an emergency or you’re in a pinch. I want to be able to provide a safe and loving space for animals while their humans are out doing human things, while I get to bask in their glorious company and do what truly makes me happy.

Renee was great with our golden retriever. Renee sent pictures every day of our dog smiling after she had played with her. She followed up with us frequently so we knew CeCe was being well taken care of while we were out of town. Would call Renee again without hesitation the next time we are out of town and can't take the dog with us!

Renee was so great! She always asks the right questions and is great at following up with us. She always makes me feel at ease when I'm out of town, that my pets are in good hands.

Renee loves dogs and is a great house-sitter! She will take care of your pets as if they were her own, and she cares deeply that they are safe and well loved. Renee will also ensure that your home is well taken care of while you’re away. You don’t need to worry when your house or your pets are in her care.

Information Renee G. would like to know about your pet

As someone who really loves dogs and who is always trying to learn, I will always be a student. There is no end to my fascination about animals and you can trust that I will treat your beloved pup with the utmost respect and adoration. I think a meet and greet is a wonderful way to break the ice and ask important questions regarding your pup’s particulars. I will bring treats (as long as you okay it) and play any games that your dog wants. I also am perfectly fine with spending the night with the dogs to make sure that they feel comfortable while their owners are out of town. I am punctual, a very good communicator, and just simply love dogs. I go the extra mile in making sure that all needs are taken care of––both for my human friends and my canine ones! I want to protect them because I know how deeply you must care for them! I am energetic and have plenty of energy to exhaust on your dogs! I can’t wait to meet you.

A typical day

Wherever your pup loves to go, we’ll go there! I also really love Romare Bearden Park, and the area around it is great for dogs! If your pup loves to be active, we can hit a dog park to socialize and run, then we can hit a trail at a nearby park or take long, meandering walks around the neighborhood. If your pup is a bit more introverted, absolutely no problem! We can stay in snuggled on the couch or floor, and watch movies or read a book together. I will craft my care to your pup’s personality and routines, and make your absence as unnoticeable as possible.
