I do not own a dog but I have built a close relationship with my best friends dog over the past four years. I have watched their dog, taken him on walks/runs to the park, and always play with him. I make sure he drinks plenty water and eats his food. I am patient and give my time to their dog in order for him to understand what I want from him. I place my trust which is crucial to any dogs well-being. I talk to him so he understands my voice when I am speaking to him, even if he might not understand my words sometimes. If I see that there is something wrong or bothering him, I fix what needs to be corrected in order to ensure his happiness. No matter what breed or age any dog is, I treat them with respect and give them lots of love as if they were one of my own.
