I have been a dog mom for 20 years and I am still growing to love them more every day. I especially enjoy talking/communicating with them, understanding their needs, and sharing the joy of simple pleasures in life. My schedule is flexible this summer as I'm a student at UH. I can work with dogs of all ages and sizes as I've had a 16 yo toy poodle & I now have a 40 lb shepherd. My shepherd is learning off the leash training (and so am I!). I can jog with your active baby or lounge with your senior. Additionally, I can give medicine (oral liquid or tab) and even insulin (my terrier had diabetes). Giving baths and cleaning up messes are okay too! I am willing to work with customers on rates and services--even customize as you need! As a college student, I know what budgeting is like, but my pets are my family and I want to give them the best I can. I hope you'll find a trustworthy caretaker in me that you can depend on to give you her best service and rates!
Reviews
I can honestly say I was not a dog person until Rena came into my life. She's always had pets (dogs, cats, birds, goats, and horses) and she truly considers them family. Right before I proposed to Rena, she adopted Gracie without telling me (she claims it was a surprise). I knew if I wanted to be a part of Rena's life forever, dogs would also be a part of my life forever. I am so proud to see I am a fully converted dog dad. Gracie and Rosie bring so much light and love into our home and I would have never known the joy pets bring if Rena hadn't shown me. She showers our girls in love and devotion, even gives them birthday parties! For Rena, who doesn't have siblings, her pets became her family and when she meets other dogs, it's like meeting her extended family. She's hoping to do more of what she loves by taking care of dogs for parents who are away and I know she can provide just as much love for other pets as she has for hers throughout her life.
Rena and I have known each other since college. I had my dog Daphne with me while we were attending university. She was absolutely amazing with Daphne! They'd go for hikes all the time. If I needed someone to watch Daphne while I was away, Rena would always do a phenomenal job. Sometimes I think my dog likes Rena more than me. I've also seen Rena be able to handle larger dogs with ease: I had her come over to my mom's house at one point, and she met the family dog Connie, a German Shepherd. Rena and Connie became fast friends. What I'm trying to say is that Rena is amazing with dogs, responsible, dependable, and absolutely lovely. You'd be crazy not to trust this dog mom (she has two of her own) with your fur babies.

Information Rena B. would like to know about your pet
1. What's your dog's routine normally like? 2. When do they eat? 3. When are they grumpiest/happiest? 4. What kinda of treats can they have? 5. Is there a certain way they don't like to be held or petted? 6. What is something they love to do but can't do often (mine pup loves the water but it's a special occasion) ?
A typical day
When I house sit, I can walk the furbaby in the neighborhood or I will take him or her to the closest safest park for extended walking. I am wary of dog parks due to hierarchies and pecking orders that must be sorted at every visit with other dogs. Walking in a park is my preferred method. I also like to provide my pets with games for stimulation. It's fun to hide treats or give them puzzles. Basic commands like sit and down are also fun to work on.
